Yeah definitely not Torres' best few games, which is disappointing as a Liverpool fan watching, but Spain as a whole have looked good, and fortunately for them they have a few players who know where the goal is. Hopefully Torres will be able to get a goal in the final... There is a discussion as to whether Fabregas should start the final... Now Villa is out it looks like he will, but in a way they will miss being able to bring him on later on to change the game! I really hope they win, it's been a long time coming, and frankly Germany haven't deserved it, whereas Spain have had a tougher route, and put the world champs out!

No no, it's not that I am a closet Christian. Actually everything you said there is pretty much true for me, I was quite in to the church, but several things made me question it and the way it is run. I do however still have some (rather mixed up) beliefs, and I have kept quiet in the past about them for fear of being laughed at or labelled a God botherer (I love that term!!!). That said, I'm not sure I live my life the best way I can, I do try to do no harm to anyone, but I do regular harm to myself, and I am living ;-) -

I don't know what Blair said? I never meant to accuse you Sean, I was impressed and a bit moved by moos' posts, and they rang some bells that is all. Anyway, sorry this is way off topic. Just as an arguement, one could say that these kids will probably grow up to be decent people, what ever they think of Darwin, is that not a point for the school? Edited because my phone doesn't show up smileys, and I think I took some things the wrong way and got all defensive. -

Blinder you're right about me calling it a bit mental, I was talking about teaching creation in biblical terms despite scientific proof. I think most christians in EAST DULWICH (see what I did there) would feel that is wrong. It's the almost pitying looks you get that I am talking about. For the record I don't call myself christian anymore, but that is at least in part because of me being scared what my friends might say. -

Moos I have fallen in love with you for your last 2 posts, especially the first one! It is a sad time when you feel embarrassed to admit to a belief because all the really clever people will scoff at you! Thank you. -
There is an obvious answer to that, but lets avoid that road ;-)

I don't think anyone on here would argue with any of that whether they are for against or against faith schools as a whole. I went to a faith school, but I certainly didn't leave thinking that God had thrown the earth together on a whim because he had an opening in his diary one week. -

I hate when people will pretend to follow a religion, that they'd otherwise laugh about, for a few weeks to get a school place! -

Exactly right Bawdy-nan. I do believe in kids making their own choices, but I don't disagree with faith schools. However, this one looks a bit mental. I saw a programme about an academy up in Middlesborough or there abouts, where they taught the biblical creation story as part of the history curriculem, and then told them, "however, you'll need to write this in your GCSE papers, it's not true, but it's what the unbelievers want to hear". -

Happening without me!!! :( I like the Mag, it's a bit noisey because of the acoustics in the building, but it's always been friendly, and the pizza is good. Saying that, I loved it before, it was by a mile the naffest, dingiest place around, superb!

I saw Alanis Morissette last week at Brixton. She did a fair few new tunes, which were actually really beautiful, but pretty slow. She did however belt out the classics which had everyone singing along! Not to everyone's taste, but she has lost none of the power in her voice, and it was an impressive set!

I think that these blokes believe themselves to be Gods, and basically can't understand that a girl may not fancy them, so they probably just assume that said girl wants 5 minutes to prepare themselves for the humping to follow :-S Maybe, maybe not, but they must have a lot of confidence, because I'd find it hard enough to go and dance with a girl even if her mate had just told me she fancied the pants off me (alas that's never happened either, but you get the point), and they think nothing of prowling the dancefloor looking for fresh meat... Maybe I am less of a man... If I am, I think I'm quite happy with being less of a man.

I never understood that thing in nightclubs when blokes just go up behind girls and start humping (dancing) behind them, having not said a word to them! I just think you sleezy c**t... However, even more worryingly, I have seen a few of these blokes have some success with this technique, which leaves me to question what the point of being alive at all is. This may explain why I have never once in my life pulled in a club!

LOL! There have always been dominant players, but usually they have one or two genuine contenders. Federer basically doesn't get beat unless it's the French Open.
