  1. That's reminded me... http://marciainger.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/chitty-chitty-bang-bang_l.jpg Lollipops....
  2. I'm just surprised that they are still trying to put new builds everywhere even now.
  3. I'll totally second what Jah says, both about Reuben being a top fella, and very helpful, and about Woodford's Reserve being absolutely wonderful!! :)-D The Plough is now right up there with my favourite places to go for a beer. I've been involved with the music side of things, and we've had great great nights up there, and long may it continue!

That's interesting, my old flate mate worked in a Tootsies in Canary Wharf a few years back (she made incredible tips, and took home around ?400 a week, most of it cash in hand, but that's another story). I went there a couple of times when she was working, and when I first tried GBK, I thought it was very very similar food and quality. Just shows what a bit of repackaging can do! Think I preferred the Tootsies thing though to be honest.

With you on that one MW74! There always seemed to be cash to go out!
  6. Thread especially for Euro 2008 here Jah. Good to have you back sir.

Reminds me of a conversation had some time ago with some friends as to whether the back, the crack, or the sack would be the most painful... Actually, I may have already posted this question on here in an old thread. Anyway, for the record, I reckon crack would hurt most. Aaaaanyway, Do what you've gotta do Charlie, but if I were you, I'd just go as you are... Besides, if you are pale, and don't tan very well, then I'd imagine if would be pretty obvious that you had a fake tan on, and you don't want it backfiring.
  8. Jah has been away from his computer the last couple of weeks. He will no doubt be back soon...

Come on Romania tonight!!!! I hope Holland just field a weak team and Romania get the result, would laugh if Italy and France both went out! Spain Portugal final maybe... They and Holland are looking the best.
  10. Have only watched it (series 1 - 4) once. Waiting for series 5, and then may revisit after giving it a bit of time (I watched it all back to back, in quite a short space of time, so it's all pretty fresh in the memory).
  11. We were out in the garden, it was about 6pm, but they still seemed to be serving food. Big outdoor space, and seem to have a summer pims bar & bbq!
  12. Fair enough Gerrard, but I feel the opposite really, I've "done Dulwich", and feel happy that I can jump on a bus and enjoy the eating and drinking placed of ED after a 10-15 minute ride (that runs all night), and yet get away from it too. Don't get me wrong, ED will always kind of be home to me, especially as long as my parents are alive (so hopefully quite a few years yet), and a couple of years ago I was loathed to move up to Sydenham, but now having looked at flats to buy in both areas, it feels like a no brainer to me. But different folks and all that. For the record, the "Bridge House Inn" has recently been done up beyong recognition, and is REALLY nice. Went there for a cheeky beer yesterday, and was very impressed.
  13. No worries Sean, Mrs Keef bought me a bunch of his books as a pack from some website, and it included Tell no one, so that was a spare copy. Would still recommend it, a good thriller, and so different from it's French cousin ;-) Watched the film Number 23 last night with Jim Carey, who I rate more and more as an actor the more I see him. He obviously made his money doing the likes of Mask, and Ace Ventura (guilty pleasure - first one not second!!!), and now feels he can do stuff he wants. Number 23 looks great, and at times has a sense of Sin City about it. It is very very clever in a way, but I don't know, it seemed to get stuck between chilling thriller (it was a bit spooky), and feel good hollywood (it had it's tacky moments, and I couldn't be sure if they were taking the pee or not). I'd recommend a watch though, if only to hear what others thought.
  14. The blue & green design 1 just looks very trendy corporate to me, don't think it works.
  15. lADYg >:D< Pompey away to Chelsea, then home to Man U for their first 2 games. I would think that's a good thing. Get them both out the way, and maybe pick up an unexpected point or 2, can't lose really.

    Specsavers.

Bit of a date gap with this thread! I used the Peckham one and found them really helpful, but there you go.

Lazerdrome was just before the start of the one way system at the bottom of Rye Lane, there is a now a New Build called Cooperative House (the old building also had this name actually). There was a pub on the corner, but I can't remember the name. The onlt Kings I can think of was "Kings on the Rye" which was on the cross roads, and used to be a very very dodgy club, and there would be 20-30 BMWs parked up on the grass across the road every Friday and Saturday night. Classy joint!
  18. No home draw Anna,we're at Sunderland. I never actually understand why people get excited about the fixtures coming out, in fact it's quite hard to get excited about the season at all until xmas.
  19. We've been to look at a couple of flats around the Lawrie Park Triangle of Sydenham, and for around ?220 you can get some really really nice 2 bed places, so I think prices will have to come down a bit in ED, because I would never pay ?25 + for some pokey place in ED away from decent transport, when I can get a place 15 minutes away on the bus, with great transport links and twice the space. I just don't understand it, are the schools really that good?

  21. Oh well, you guys have fun, I shall be on a stag do / celebrating my 30th, so I'll be with you in spirits :)-D
  22. I actually like the red version of design 2, and don't think teenagers would really thing DANGER when they saw it.
  23. There is an old African saying....
  24. It is scary, but just be yourself. I tried making notes, but had gone through them in a couple of minutes, so then just started winging it, and got a lot more laughs! Or you could do what my best man did and do a half hour long game show involving other friends of the groom, and totally humiliate him! It was bloody great though and very unique! Piers was actually one of the contestants, and helped with the whole thing.

Simon, assuming they both win their groups, I believe they'd meet in the semis
