I'm not really prudish, and will talk filth with the best of them, but the threads on here recently have just been pathetic and playground like. *Clears throat* Dummmm d' daa da da daaaa daaaaa Dummmm d' daa da da daaaa daaaaa I'm gonna fight 'em all, An east dulwich army couldn't hold me back.
  3. "Oh brother where art thou" is about the only one that tempts me.
  4. You must mean Polly D (word!) Sean.
  5. Bagpuss still posts but has been away for a few days.
  6. Good point Jeremy, perhaps one or 2 of them are ill, and others visit? Perhaps they are all just horrid people for no good reason, but I doubt it. I would have thought the house is council property though isn't it? Shaggy you are spot on in one sense, "a large group of people irritated with these guys getting together to mount concerted pressure on the council and police to sort these people out is very much the done thing" is of course fair enough, but the attitudes shown by some on here are sick, and I am not Mr Liberal. Anyway, I'm off to a taxidermist to get myself stuffed.
  7. And of course, there's Shambles.
  8. To be honest, seeing the attitude of people in the whistling man / Whateley Road threads, I am thinking thast East Dulwich isn't such a nice place anymore frankly. For my part I am finding I want to visit the area less and less. It's the people that make an area, not the shops.

Are you for real? Seriously? The man is ill, how can you be so bloody unkind?
  10. I walk up Whateley Road all the time, and have never had a peep out of these people. Perhaps it's the looks of distain they get that wind them up... If they are friends with Mr Whistle, then chances are they are known to mental health services, in which case people should be a bit more sympathetic. Have they ever actually hurt anyone? I know you might not want your kids to hear nasty language, but they'll hear it in any number of other places anyway.
  11. Well absolutely, although he does pop up occasionally.
  12. To be honest, the coat was in such a battered state, the shops probably wouldn't have taken it. It's more the irritation of loosing the stuff in the pockets that bothered me, but most of it is replaced now...
  13. Bloody hell, I pay $40 a month for my t-mobile, but I do use my phone a lot, and get unlimited texts, unlimited web&walk, and a shed load of minutes for that.

Like Anna I shall be keeping an eye on Liverspain.
  15. I was gutted Jenny didn't hang around, we had a big fall out, probably because I took something she said overly personally, but we shared a couple of PMs to clear the air, but that's the last I heard of her... Hope she reregistered and is still around.... Jumpinjackflash????? (?) Maurice used to make me laugh, I hope he didn't die.
  16. Not looking like I'll be at this one I'm afraid.
  17. Cheers, I bought a bundle of his books so may have it, but if not I'd appreciate it, I do think he's very good in that genre.
  18. Thanks Anna :) Book was just a thriller paperback, "The Final Detail" by Harlan Coben (same fella who wrote Tell no one), not that worried, there are only so many thrillers a guy can read!

  20. In the very first post of this thread, mockny said Others, me included, have agreed with Piers' recommendation, so for any of you who haven't seen it, tune in to Film 4 at 9pm tonight. I have watched a couple of films this week, the first of which was Thank you for smoking, which wasn't as funny as I'd hoped it would be having read reviews, but still quite enjoyable, and very funn at times. I then borrowed Troy from a friend, and am not sure what to say really. I admit it looks pretty impressive, and some of the acting is good, but at the same time, it's such a famous, and wonderful story, and they could have done it so so well, but indtead it is another Hollywood blockbuster like Gladiator. If only the BBC and HBO had decided to do this story in the same style as Rome!
  21. Never mind, spent all afternoon today getting my travel pass replaced. Now just need to get new headphones, and reorder the book from Amazon... Damned shame about the weed though, especially with Ideal being on tonight! :(

As of writing this, I am a whole 1000 posts ahead of Sean... However, in the last 2 or 3 weeks I have posted very little, as I generally can't be bothered reading about big arses, long tackle, or flabby minges! :-S
  23. Only saw 10 minutes of the final, which was the first I'd seen of the whole thing. Escala were just a not as good version of Bond! The cheesy smiles and crap dance steps were just awful! Felt a bit bad as I turned on during the 12 year old soprano, and was slagging off her breath control until I heard her age (I thought she looked a few years older), at which point I had to admit that she is a huge talent, and has real potential!
  24. Absolutely. Doesn't mean I deserved to get robbed though.

    Keefs Band

Absolutely! You or her can email us via the website, or I can PM you the number of our drummer who deals with the booking side of things. That would be great fun. Unfortunately I doubt We'll be back at The Plough as the volume seemed a bit much for them. We might do another public gig at The Half Moon in Hearne Hill in a couple of months though.
