  1. Falling - Julie Cruise (Twin Peaks Theme)
  2. The Gossip - Standing in the way of control. Was playing it in rehearsal yesterday, and it's stuck.
  3. What Piers said, I think I finished with the team I started with. it was all a bit complicated for me. I prefer the predictions game we have at work.

    Great Gigs

Zutons would be alright. I really liked The Feeling's first album, thought it was full of some nice happy tunes, but the one single I've heard on the radio from their second album was a load of shite. "Fill my little world" was a real XFM song when XFM was still okay, but then they flogged it on Capital, and The Feeling basically went down the same sort of road as McFly or Busted (but with a gay twist). Shame, as they undoubtedly have talent, and there were a lot of good influences on their first album.
  5. Them Bones - Alice in chains
  6. Mike I get the impression that The Vale is still owned by the same person, but that Darren is the new manager, and is trying to make positive changes. I have been a strict NTVer for about 4 years now, for the same reason as Mockney. However, I think it might be time to review the situation... Besides, the Black Cherry, which everyone, me included, rates amongst the nicer classier local drinking establishments, played host to a dirty big fight which saw someone get his head kicked in on Saturday night, so bad things and idiots can be anywhere.
  7. Congrats to Man U, I think they deserved it over the season. That Torres goal was class!
  8. I'd vote the Vale, I'm interested.
  9. Bless her little heart, she's like a lovely little pixie type person.
  10. Risse is a hero at the pool (even despite the own goal, grrr), but I can understand him wanting out now he's slipped down the pecking order a bit. Both would be great signings in my opinion, and losses for the pool.
  11. Big win for Bristol City, just got a call from my friend who had come up to London for it, saying "mate are there any pubs with beer gardens in Victoria?" I told him I don't really know the area very well, only for him to say "what do you mean, it's London!" >:D< Surprise surprise, Warnock is blaming the ref... He did a bit of a Wengeresque victim complex thing too, saying that a Bristol player should have been sent off (I haven't seen it, so maybe he should have been), but that if it was one of his players, they would have been sent off... I agree he might be good for a laugh in the Prem, but I really hope they get slaughtered in the second leg! Come on City!
  12. I'm fed up with people talking about Green & Blue, so I'm going to start a thread about Green & Blue to tell everyone how fed up I am with talking about Green & Blue... :-S
  13. Good to see people, and Moos, it was lovely talking to you properly! AnnaJ, I meant what I said! ;-)
  14. I think an old poster from this forum put a litle comment on there.
  15. I'd been wondering, but didn't want to be the one to ask! :-$
  16. Would be interesting to see if the small indies managed to stay in business... I imagine they would, unless of course MacD's opened a late night bar out back! :)-D

But the same rule don't apply, the trains are out of the mayor's grasp, which is why a disabled person can use their freedom pass on buses, tubes and DLR at any time, but have to wait til half 9 for the trains. A complete pain in the arse if you happen to need to catch a train to get to work.
  18. They'd need to introduce Urinals and an open air smoking section though!
  19. I'm with you on the Fowler thing Anna, but is he even fit to play? Bless him, he's had such crappy luck over the years. On the bright side, he is exceptionally savvy, and is one of the richest sports people in the country! Oh and Mockney, 2006 w**ker! ;-)

  21. Sandperson also just made a point based on what was said on Radio 5, he never said it was true, but he said that the Arsenal lack of funds thing had been called in to question on BBC Radio, which raises an interesting topic for discussion. Now, you replied not by saying "hmm, interesting point, I disgree because....", but rather by saying "Well I couldn't let your bullshit pass. Man Ure have to spend to achieve where as we don't, and never have even when we went 49 games unbeaten. We leave that shit to Man Ure and Chavski.Same old Manu Ure fans full of MANURE.". Hardly mature discussion about a game we all enjoy / love. Then ratty makes a light hearted quip about Pires taking a dive, and even finishes it with a smiley face, and you go mental about himand his team! I don't know if you just flame on here because you just enjoy the wind ups, and want to be the panto villan, or if you are really that wound up about everything. I do think you could do with some new quips though.
  22. Not really a fair dig there *bob*. Bus conductors on a new routemaster might be an answer... I saw many times in the past, a bus conductor confronting trouble makers, and then being backed up by everyone else on the bus. People don't want to ask someone to behave, but once the conducter started it, peope were happy to back them up.
  23. Yeah I'm a big Raef fan, he was freaking out a bit when he realised he wouldn't need jacket and Tue in the heat of the markets! I think they get 2 or 3 people they think could do a job, and fill the other spots with people who will make fools of themselves for the sake of good telly. Plus they only actually get a 1 year contract, so he can cut them loose unless they actually do well. Know what you mean about Lucinda = Jelly. Mrs Keef was cracking up about the way she was getting out the car and running across the roads with her hands up like a Thunderbird puppet.
  24. Have a word David, it is a very nice idea, and trains with food / drink carts are not buses or tubes are they. I agree it may well be unenforcable, but it is a good idea! I'm not the type to feel easily imtimmidated, but I have felt nervous a couple of times when a bunch of Stella guzzling tw@ts have got on the bus and started abusing everyone!
  25. We have a Wimpy in Sydenham, they are quite expensive, ut you do get table service, and your food on a plate. I would love a MaccyDees on Lordship Lane simply so I could get my hands on the Chicken Legend with spicy salsa after a few beers! Wouldn't mind a Subway or Nandos either. Been a while since we've had a good old anti big chain thread on here. As per usual, I would love the chains to come, simply to annoy those who don't want them. :)-D
