  1. And gets 6 months, and will be out in 2, and now says he has a drink problem... Sorry, I have absolute sympathy for people witg drink problems, but this just stinks of some horrible little thug suddenly having a problem when he needs the courts to go gently!
  2. LOL >:D
  3. That is a point everyone has always been very quick to forget about that goal incident, we could have ended up a man and a goal up! Anyway, biggest concern has to be the pitch, heard the "super groundsman" on the radio this morning and he said it will be playable, but he is disgusted about the state of it! Think it'll suit Chelsea more.
  4. Oh and with regards my eyes, I am indeed registered partially sighted, but I can see the length of the wicket, so doesn't really make a difference when bowling... Batting and catching on the other hand... :-$
  5. Citizen did make a stunning dive to try and make a catch, it looked great, and he really houldn't have gotten near it, but got a hand to it!
  6. Det, I'd forgotten that one! RosieH, I do the "Can I get" thing too, and like you, it doesn't make me proud.

Keep up, its all bare sick y'know.:)) Oi, I'm not that old :( Seriously, most of the lingo was much the same when I was at school (only 12 years ago), but this bare thing is unacceptable! Sick (meaning good) on the other hand is something that my aussie friends say, and I quite like it.
  8. Completely agree with Martin as Man of the Match, not only was his batting great, but he also picked up a wicket. That said, I am well pleased with having the match ball! And damn it, I would have had the hatrick if Dems hadn't dropped the catch! ;-) Made up for my pathetic score of one run when "batting". With regards blue top man, I think you are actually talking about James. David Carnell (who had the light blue jumper) opened our bowling, and bowled his 7 overs (I think). James (who had a darker blue top) came in for a couple of overs a bit later.
  9. I would have said it was looking up the road as if you were coming from Goose Green, and Northcross Road would be coming up on the right... Don't know why I'm thinking that though, and am probably completely wrong!

Hmm interesting, there is indeed a Tex Mex place in Sydenham, and I remember commenting to Mrs Keef just how similar the decor / menus were, so you could be spot on. I hope it stays, I know it's naff, but that's what is great about it. Saying that, I do like Demery's idea of making it more of a drinking place, and keeping the food more snacky. As long as they still do the ribs!!!

I've heard people call it that too, always makes me chuckle. Back on topic, I agree with PGC RE the Gowlett. It's a nice place, but old school boozer it aint. It sells pizza (very nice pizza at that), old pubs don't sell pizza!
  12. Lots of things I hear the kids on the buses saying do my nut in... "Bare", as in "it was bare funny", or "she's got bare shoes"... I can only assume it means lots / very. Another little gem "he gives me jokes" which I think means that he makes me laugh.
  13. I used to love that cartoon Anna! The opening to Crazy in love by Beyonce.
  14. After hours of guitar playing Saturday and that yesterday my arms are killing me today! Bloody good fun though!
  15. I'm cheering Spain, the great underacheivers (says an English person), but some great players... Most of which play for Liverpool, so that'll do me! >:D

  17. For my part, I will not sleep in the hallway so you and Mrs Fear can have the room! ;-)

  22. The latter!!! Honesty doesn't pay!
  23. Damn it, forgot my wallet, and have no lunch, and haven't had breakfast either :( On the bright side, this gives me good reason (in my mind) to go home at 3 to get much needed food! :)-D
