There's no way it could be an evening thing if we were gong to do more than just Lordship Lane... I was imagining meeting in The Plough at opening time on a Saturday, and finishing gone midnight, with those brave souls who made it through then heading to Kebab & Wine! :)-D For a smaller version, I am liking Brendan's choices (CPT, Drum, Plough, Gowlett, George Canning). Only problem being the distance between them all. If we were doing the Gowlett, I might have to insist on a visit to The Wishing Well on Bellenden! Myself, Mrs Keef, and Jah Lush had a very nice post Ganapatti drink in there a while ago.

I'd happily leave a few places out, hearne cos It's out the way's as is the clockhouse. Franklins cos it's more of an eating place, liquorice and bishop because they're both rubbish!

Just saw that my bank were going to charge me 125 bloody quid at the end of this month! Now I expected, and even accepted some charge this month, but not that. I remembered this thread and called my bank, told them I was planning to close my account and look elsewhere... I was put on hold for 5 seconds before they came back and said they'd reduce it by ?75 Not bad for a 5 minute phone call! :)-D

Very early forum thread on just this subject - *bob* wasn't even registered! I'm in... Things have changed since the above thread (mainly The Plough). For a real mission, may I suggest; Start at The Plough, walk down Crystal Palace Road, stop at The Castle, head down to the CPT, take Pellat Road down to The Mag, work down Lordship Lane past Franklins & Licorice, stop at Palmerston, head up Northcross via The Drum, swifty in The Uplands, then mission it to The Hearne (make sure you have a wee before leaving the uplands), then to The Clockhouse. After this we walk around to Goose Green (maybe just maybe doing a detour for the Gowlett), to the EDT, then to the Cherry, then The Bishop (cos it's open latest even though I personally hate the place). Think that more or less covers everywhere... The Dog is a bit too far off track I think... When is an issue, I'm totally skint right now, and July is a bit busy...

There is a Wimpy in Sydenham, I went in there a while back quite excited, but I felt quite disappointed after I'd eaten... MacD's beef burgers are crap, but they are doing some good chicken at the moment! I wouldn't say GBK do bad quality food, but I have been there twice, and both times left feeling very bloated, but totally unimpressed, and been over ?20 poorer.

I don't think "spreading the R&B gospel" suggests that it was anything other than R&B (played loud in a kind of spreading the word way).

Most places where back on between 12-1pm. We had no power til around half 4 (near Sydenham station), a colleage who lives just around the corner from Sydenham Park (where the fire was) said her power was out til about 11pm last night!

Burger King let themselves down on the fries! Chicken Legend with spicy salsa from Maccy Dees is my fave fast food of the moment! (quite like the chicken selects too).

I've been told Che Guevara (especially when I had more hair) by more than one person, but I never really saw it. Couple of others have suggested Jack Black. Not sure how I feel about that, as I find him really really annoying! Who I'd like to look like... Hmmm well anyone who's hair wasn't thinning would be a good start! Dave Grohl maybe, he's pretty cool. Lenny Kravitz is a damned sexy man, but being that I'm white and he's mixed race, I don't really have much hope there :-S

Spurs look like they could have made a very good signing with this Dos Santos from Barca! Came through the youth ranks, and broke in to the first team. Only 19 and a Mexican international, plays on the wing or up front. Apparently well rated, but behind Messi in the pecking order... Could be a very good player for the Spurs...

You may laugh, Mrs Keef's mum gave her one a couple of years back, which we use as our recycle bin... Only problem is, we don't have recycling at our place, so when it's full it needs taking down the high street to the big recycling bins behind Lidles... This has on a couple of occasions (when I couldn't get out of it) meant me taking it down there on my own and feeling a total prick!!!

That does sound like the strain that gets to the brain and reaks havoc on the general common sense area.
