  1. If that is true about Croutch, I'd have to say good luck to him. He is useful to us, but he deserves more football than we are likely to give him. I just hope we get rid of Veronin, he can run at people, but he's a useless finisher!

Surely London > needs someone who can actually make the right > decisions/do the job, not someone who has to rely > on a team of unelected appointees to stop him > making a hash of things? There is a fine line between making big decisions, and being so arrogant you don't take advise.
  3. Rafa said Torres had hamstring trouble, but he didn't seem too convincing... That said, Torres didn't storm off and blank the manager or anything, so maybe it was true. Shame though, he's the one man we would have wanted on the pitch in extra time!
  4. And ... We're off!!! Well I'm not, I'm voting after work.
  5. Missed it last night (footy), but have recorded it (sad I know). Glad Kevin went, he's a horrid little shite. RosieH, they are not the brightest lot, but that adds to the humour!
  6. Not sure I'd say the better team won Sean. They were by far better in the first half, and we just couldn't keep the bloody ball, but I don't think it's fair to say we had the better of the second half just because they went awol, I think we outplayed them in the half. I can understand why Drogba celebrated as he did, but I really really hate that bloke!!! Regarding extra time, their disallowed goal was not a goal, there were 3 players offside, one of whom was right in front of the keeper. As for our "penalty", I have to admit that I don't really think it should have been one, but the ref did himself no favours, as he clearly looked to have awarded it for a moment... Lampard - Fair play to him, but I still don't like him. Gerrard was wrong to push Grant, but I'm not sure it would have made any difference had it been someone else. Why was Torres taken off?!?!?!?!? Not sure I believe the hamstring trouble story. And why did Croutch not get on? In a game where the pitch is drenched, and the ball isn#t moving to well, you want a target man in the air! Anyway, twas a good game to watch, but a painful defeat. Guess I should say good luck to Chelsea... I like Avram Grant, and a few of their players, but characters like Drogba and Terry just make it impossible for me to really want them to do well! I'll be neutral in the final, but I fancy Man U.
  7. Jah pointed out my "exactly right"'s, and said he'd started saying it. Until then I hadn't noticed, now I want to slap myself every time! I still like it though.

    Poetry please

Bit soppy, but... Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams. W.B. Yeats Mrs Keef read this to me ages ago, I love it, bollocks to material love!
  9. I'm with Brendan and Annaj, I have thought about things, but don't really regret them as such. Things like the thousands and thousands of pounds I have drunk or smoked in the past 10 years... Believe me, I couldn't put a figure on it, but it would probably bring a tear to most people's eyes. Obviously that money could have been better spent, but then I have had amazing times, and met most of my best friends through my bad habits!!! (I luv ya twingle). I know what david means about meeting your other half earlier, but again, why regret it, just enjoy each other now. I guess for me I'd say 1. Not pushing myself further. I'm by no means unhappy (I have been, but I'm not now), but I know I have just scraped by on what talent / brains I was given, I have never done more than was absolutely necessary, and I do regret that, as I could have been doing something else now. 2. Not finishing a very long and drawn out relationship at the first warning signs... But then who the hell does, and we did have some amazing times in amongst all the heartache. 3.... Don't know yet...
  10. Tonight I shall be scoffing something as quickly as possible before the footy!
  11. I'm not actually sure I'll be able to do this one... Hopefully I will, but will have to wait and see. I am very aware that I have been rubbish and unsociable at the last couple... I'm not trying to be rude or aloof, I'm just not very good in big crowds, and am actually quite shy when talking to new people (in real life), or I get too drunk and talk total nonsense that only other drunk people can understand. Promise to try harder either at this one, or the next one I can make! There are several people that have been to 1 - 3 drinks, and I still haven't spoken to, or said more than a quick hello before running away and going for a fag outside.
  12. Ha, had never really noticed before, but "how funny" is definitely you! :))
  13. annaj Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Some slightly better news - I have managed to get a swap for the weekend that Keef's band is playing at the Plough (not that it has anything to do with this thread). Hurrah!!! Far important than stupid cricket, should be a fab night... Think The Plough is going to be rather full!
  14. Person who most impressed me last night was Wes Brown, and I honestly have never rated him as good enough for Man U's first team, but he was so solid and fought all night. Reminded me of Carra!!! >:D< As for tonight, I can't make a prediction. I am not feeling overly confident, but I don't think we're out of it yet... Basically, What Anna said!!!
  15. I'll be missing you - Puff Daddy

    Quiet room...

*Wanders in to quiet room, and thinks "hmm, might be time for the yearly trip to Rancho Relaxo... Wonder if Sean will go all cowbow again"*
  18. I know it's not a sketch show, I just meant that for me it had something of a sketch show style if that makes sense. Every scene seemed like it's own little shetch, even in the way it was fimed... Maybe just my imagination, and I haven't seen much of it to prove my point.
  19. Well that's you in the final Sandperson. Well deserved I have to say, and if Scholes only does one thing in a match, you'd want it to be that!!! ... I hope we meet you in Moscow ...

I think he meant an explanation of how the 2 chosen votes are counted, not how to cast the actual votes.
  21. As I said, only seen the one episode, but the opening scene / sketch with her on the loo doing the pregnancy test cracked me up! By the way, if we're talking quality comedy, the 4th series of Ideal kicked off on BBC 3 last night. I love that programme!
  22. 15 Games I think Anna. Scored his 1 goal on his debut.
  23. LOL either that is genius, or my mind has read that so wrong!
  24. Watched that the other day... May well have been down to what I'd smoked that evening, but I thought it was hilarious! :-S

Come on Sean, keep up for Christ's sake!
