  1. Some people enjoy their jobs ;-) I haven't seen a good Snorky rant for ages, come on man, unleash the dragon!
  2. The blog genuinely stopped me from wanting to go near the place for a long time. Now I have been, I wouldn't say I love the place by any stratech, but would definitely go back to buy wine... (although I do think some of it is a liiiitle bit expensive for what it is).
  3. I'm a professional in the old sense of the word (not a very impressive one though), but I wouldn't want me renting my place, I'd much a rather a well off plumber! That said, if a Plumber has done all off their corgi stuff, shouldn't that make them a professional? :-S
  4. Diarolyte is what I have used in the past, Mrs Keef bought them for travelling, fortunately they were not required, and we discovered their other, much more useful, benefit.
  5. To be fair Atila, Man U were hardly setting the world alight 30 years ago. I always feel quite annoyed that I started supporting Liverpool after the real glory days... Okay, I've had a fair bit to cheer, but missed all the great 80s stuff because I wasn't really interested in footy as a kid, only started taking a real interest about 13-14 years ago at about 16. Chose Liverpool because I liked Macca, and Fowler. Then moved there, and it was unavoidable!
  6. I'm actually getting nervous as I still haven't made my mind up fully.
  7. I get the blackcurrant one. It's not nice by any stretch, but you casn keep it down. Once or twice I have done a pre-emptive strike and taken one before bed, and woken up feeling right as rain, but usually I don't have the wits about me for all that, and just pass out.
  8. I'm not fussed about Liverpool's result against Birmingham, as it means little for us now, but I do have to say that that free kick goal, with the guy doing everything possible to impede the keeper, was shite!
  9. Don't think so, I think the title will be there's. That is a really weird story though, can't remember anything like that in the past.
  10. I'm in, although playing a gig on the 17th and it's going to be a late one (We're playing til gone 1am, and won't be able to get our stuff out til it all finishes), so like David I may be a touch groggy on the 18th... A coule of the CPT boys will be up for it, so I'll see who is in... I'll check with Dems, hopefully his team isn't playing that day... It would be a shame to lose him, as he basically took most of our wickets last year.
  11. And I bloody forgot to watch!!! :X
  12. I included everyone in my results, and they surprise me... Green at the top is no real surprise, but Boris number 3 shocks me, and as much as I dislike Ken, having UKIP above him just plain worries me! I don't really think much of these sites though, I was putting "Neither" for a lot of them because the statements are far too cut and dry. I am glad to see BNP firmly at the bottom though! Si?n Berry (Green Party): 19 Unity for Peace and Socialism: 18 Boris Johnson (Conservatives): 17 Lindsey German (Left List): 16 RESPECT Renewal: 16 Alan Craig (Christian Peoples Alliance / Christian Party): 15 Gerrard Batten (UKIP): 14 Ken Livingstone (Labour): 14 Matt O'Connor (English Democrats): 14 Abolish the Congestion Charge: 13 Brian Paddick (Liberal Democrats): 11 One London: 10 Winston Mckenzie: 10 Richard Barnbrook (BNP): 8
  13. Sorry mate, I feel bad now :-$
  14. Bit late now, but if I have a really really bad hangover, and the usual stuff won't get rid, I take a rehydration drink. They're meant for treating diarrhoea, they replace body salts and all that. Usually sorts me out. I found Jah yesterday in the Dog, we then went to the CPT, where we were joined by the lovely Tillie Trotter, and then on to The Drum because Jah Lush must have had a shift or something. I was rather tipsy by this stage... Felt rotten today and had a family christening followed by a bbq. Great weather for it, but the whole day was a bit of a struggle!
  15. Yeah, thought the Pat Lampard shirt was a nice touch. What is with Ballack and Drogba though??? Agree with Atila RE Fulham, both about todays game, and the fact it's probably too little too late. Had to chuckle about Man U moaning about penalties, when that was the first one awarded against them all season!!! Still think they will win the title...
  16. The fight is going to be shown in full at 12pm tomorrow on BBC 2.
  17. I'm not feeling too clever today, but have just got home having become very bored of sitting pretending to be busy. I am now going in seach of one Jah Lush, and the weekend starteth! :)-D
  18. There is that Jamma, but I never said I would be there! Actually I was asked to do next week's quiz (I sometimes fill in), but can't. I shall certainly post here if I am going to be quiz master at any stage.
  19. One thing that was unfortunate when I went in last night was that they didn't have a wine I bought only a couple of weeks ago, and when I ponted to a bottle with a very similar label (same vineyard/company, whatever the term is), the guy didn't seem to have a clue what I was on about... He was very nice though, and recommended a very nice, if rather pricey wine instead. Shame about this weekend, as we were going to book a table for 10 or so for tomorrow night (not my choice I admit, but I would have been dragged along, and sure I would have enjoyed the wine once I was in there).
  20. Hard to say I'm sorry - Chicago (classic 80s!)
  21. I seriously doubt it, although it would at least give the loyal Derby fans a great memory of the premier league... I expect a comfortable Arsenal win though... I'm also not so sure about Liverpool beating Birmingham 1-3 now I think about it, as I'm sure players will be rested!
  22. Interesting that they have just revamped their website, and seem to be pushing more online wine selling...
  23. Just when I had started to spend my money in there... Popped in and bought a lovely bottle last night (even if it was ?21 quid to take away), they were getting ready for a tasting, and everyone seemed in good spirits. Shame, it is obviously popular, and so it will be a sad loss. Still think the bar is a bit poncey though ;-)
  24. What Ant said!
