  1. Agreed, think my fave ever was Ted & Ralph from the Fast Show.
  2. RE: FF, I have spent many hours of my life watching a friend playing them, and I have to admit I found them more entertaining to watch whilst sitting and smoking fags / drinking beer to actually play. I am more a fan of the Zelda type fantasy RPGs. RE: Mario Kart, not played it myself yet, but my friend got it last week, and describes it as f**king sick... He is Australian, and this is high praise indeed. Apparently the battles are amazing, and it has a retro section where you can unlock classic tracks and battles. He gives it a big thumbs up, so I think I shall treat myself when I have finished a couple of games.
  3. Any news on this, are people still keen? Mrs Keef and I tried going to The Bridge leisure centre in lower (the sh!t bit) Sydenham last night, and they had bloody kids trampolining (sp?) class in the same hall, so we had kids running around, and parents just walking around / across our court. We left after 30 minutes and demanded a free session at a quieter time. Not so much fun though, nice to have more than one person to play with.
  4. No, he's just going to spend a lot of time on a local forum.

  7. One of the best things about Ganapati is the garlic chitney you get with the popadoms. They sell it by the jar, it is lush!!!
  8. I heard about that too late to watch it, but sounds good. Do you know if they plan to make a regular thing of it?
  9. I do think it can depend, sometimes overseas travel is a bit naff, but I would love nothing more than to be going back to Australia, or Africa, or India, or many many other places right now! Citizen, I agree RE Catherine Tate. I do think she's very clever, and has made some good characters, but they are all far too reliant on their catchphrases. Whereas the Fast Show used to have characters with catchphrases that would be used to support an otherwise still funny sketch, CT's sketches will more often than not be totally reliant on the delivery of the big catchphrase. "What a f**king liberty" "How very dare you" "Am I bovvered" And so on.
  10. I know, Mrs Keef and I are currently rewatching it, but I wish they'd do more.
  11. How about Polly Walker (Atia in Rome), she's almost 42. http://www.linternaute.com/television/dossier/06/rome/personnages/atia-polly-walker.jpg I would anyway.

Quite right. Think he's already in a league above the UK guys, as he is a world champ of his weight, so the step up should be swift, he won' have to earn his shot like these guys do. You're right about marketing yourself though, Audley decided to go it alone, and got everything wrong and ended up a joke. It's a shame, because I think he did have promise. With regards the cockiness though, I used to love Eubank, because he was the sort of comedy villan. Naseem Hamed however was just a bit too cocky, and as good as he was, it just made me want to see him get knocked out! Was shocked at his career though, he was still so young when he lost the title, and he just disappeared.

  14. Neither did I, up here in the high lands of Sydenham the air is much fresher you know.
  15. I am hoping that we can stop them scoring an away goal, and win 1 or 2 nil tomorrow... Then we nick an away goal at their's and we're sorted! That said, there haven't exactly been a lot of goals in these fixtures, so anything could happen really.
  16. Funnily enough, Roy Jones Jnr sayd before the fight that Calzaghe needed to throw lots of punches, because if he tried using them sparingly, he's be playing in to Hopkins' hands. Turned out he was spot on, as Calzaghe basically won the fight on his work rate. I wish Mayweather was a heavier bloke, now that would be a challenge! He is amazing. Whilst we're talking boxing, what do people think of Haye's chances at heavyweight? I think he can do well, but needs to be careful not to be too cocky.
  17. Gutted we're at home in the first leg, but I feel better about this one than the Arsenal games... Don't think they'll be particularly entertaining games though... Man U Vs Barca should be pretty exciting.

*Wonders why any child would betray his siblings for bloody Turkish Delight, the stuff is just wrong!* :-S

  20. Eubank was a finished man after the tragic Michael Watson fight. I give very little credit to Calzaghe for that victory, because Eubank had no killer instinct anymore, and shouldn't have been in the ring. Obviously we'll never know, but I've always felt that Eubank or Benn at their peaks would have eaten Calzaghe, and Collins for that matter, he got them both at the arse ends of their careers, and talks like he was the better man, absolute bol!ocks.
  21. Congrats Sandperson, just don't you dare dress the poor mite in a Man U top! She deserves the chances you never had! ;-)
  22. Not sure who it was, but a guy on Radio 4 yesterday made the very good point that one should be able to have, and voice concerns about immigration without having the racist label slapped straight on them. When that happens, they are more likely to slope off and vote BNP, because other parties are too scared to address things for fear that they too will be labelled racist. At the end of the day there are issues with immigration levels, and sections of society (not just white working classes) are unhappy with it, I don't think there is any question of that. The problem is, there doesn't seem to be an obvious solution, and it has almost become a taboo subject because groups like the BNP have gotten hold of it, so to express a view on it runs you the risk of being viewed as a sympathiser of one of these groups. Did that make sense? :-S
  23. I didn't get to see it unfortunately, but the BBC website seems to confirm what you say. Of course they're not going to be strong about it because the Brit fighter won, but there are definite suggestions that it was contentious, particularly one judge only giving Hopkins 3 rounds, which even reading the reports will tell you is obvious bo!!ocks. Fair play to Calzaghe I guess. He's obviously a good fighter, but I have never ever taken to him, and I hope he doesn't retire undefeated! He's now calling himself a legend killer, which for me is just another way of saying "I'm fighting old guys who are past their best". Roy Jones Jnr next, another fighter who had his best days a few years ago now!

  25. Bloody hell, that is a grudge! As Lawrenson pointed out yesterday, Liverpool were still all over Fulham in that game last year, and should have won it, it's not like they rolled over for them! Frankly, Warnock is clutching at straws because he failed.
