  1. Have you tried the CPT quiz on a Wednesday? That is usually a challenge!
  2. One annoying thing is that the press are saying average pay for a teacher is ?33k, but you have to be teaching a fair while to get that, and the average is pumped up by vastly overpaid heads. Mrs Keef was earning about ?23-24k in her last job, and genuinely was doing a good 60+ hours a week. I didn't realise it before, but it is a shed load of work and stress. Mrs Keef is taking a break from it and deciding if she wants to go back, and whilst it's her choice, I have to admit that I genuinely hope she doesn't, because she's a far more relaxed person when she doing other stuff, and she was no better off... Her biggest mistake was actually going in to it to help the kids, which was soon knocked out of her... "You are here to control the kids", she was told. "If they learn, that's a bonus"! I've said it before and I'll probably say it again... Education, Health, Social care, all messed around with by this government, and now everyone is ticking boxes, and the pupils / patients / clients are suffering for it because there is less time for actually giving them a good service because you're so busy showing that you're providing a good service (if that makes sense). For the record, Mrs Keef never moaned about marking, preparation was the bugbear.
  3. Chelsea 2 Man. United 1 (Think Chelsea will rally and "do it for Frank", and good luck to them, so long as they don't do it twice for Frank on Wednesday). Birmingham 1 Liverpool 3 Man. City 2 Fulham 1 Sunderland 2 Middlesbrough 1 Tottenham 2 Bolton 0 West Ham 2 Newcastle 2 Wigan 1 Reading 0 Portsmouth 1 Blackburn 1 Everton 1 Aston Villa 2 Derby 2 v Arsenal 0 (Just for comedy value).
  4. It was more the fact he had spare keys to his mum's house, and something with her address on in there that was the problem! A quick lock change was required! Anyway, I'll post when I get it back, and if you haven't seen it I shall bring it to a forum drink or something.

    I LOVE.....

... The fact that KK doesn't have time to get her face on in the morning because she's too busy on the forum at half 7! ;-)
  6. Slight problem, my friend got his bag stolen, with my series 2 in it!!! He is replacing, but not sure when I'll have it, as he still needs to watch it, so if you can get hold of it, do. If not, you are, as I say, welcome to it when I have it back.
  7. Nothing to do with this conversation, but now it's in the Lounge, I just wanted to pop this in... http://images.wikia.com/uncyclopedia/images/e/ec/Gollum-chav2.jpg
  8. Yeah I've said from the start Alex is evil... However, he impressed me last night in the way that he sees situations for what they are, and I predict he'll do well... He is still a nasty bully though!
  9. I don't think anyone would say that it's anymore high brow than a lot of reality tv, but it is more interesting, and a lou funnier!

    EDT

EDT has not traditionally been one of my favourite watering holes, however, in the last year that has changed, and I rather enjoy it in there now.

This has just made me think of one of my real hates. W@nkers who tie their dogs up outside a pub and go in for a pint! These people need such a kicking!

    Heroes

I still need to get the first series box set, as got very confused about the order of the episodes, so gave up.
  13. Ah yes... Maybe the administrator didn't approve of Azul's fun... You will type in black or not at all do you hear me! ;-)
  14. They showed the 24 hour personal laundry service clip on "You're Fired" after. One of Alan Sugars best moments!
  15. Mine is already with someone, but if you haven't got it by the time I get it back it's yours.
  16. Agree with you Piers RE the Zelda games, the story is tired. Windwaker was a bit different, but all the sailing around got annoying... Windwaker was meant to have been the future of one time line of Ocarina of time, and TP carries on from another or something like that... I would prefer it if they would just make NEW games featuing the SAME Link, rather than some kid in a village somewhere who bares a resembalence to the hero of time and all that bo!!ocks. Having said all that, I really enjoyed TP, especially a couple of new bits like chasing down the carriage on your horse and shooting arrows whilst riding. And the final one on one swordfight was cool! Oh, and the cave of ordeals or whatever it was called was a bit of a mission... Took me several tries to get through all 50 rooms (having once failed on room 49... I literally throw the controller and screamed). The sense of acheivment after that was better than finishing the whole (basically quite easy) game!

  18. That would be so cool!!!
  19. Yes. I've got a really silly hatred of that school just because I knew some real arseholes from there when I was at school, so I have kept the rivalry in my head.
  20. Innit! Best wishes to the new place and all that, but Lordship Lane isn't a very long "strip", and it already has 2 cocktail places. I liked having something different. Anyway, you will no doubt do a good trade in ED.
  21. I actually agree with a lot of what James said (not the bit about stopping the "chavs" from breeding, that's a bit scary). The way he put it was somewhat stereotypical and sounded a bit snobby, but actually there is truth in what he said like it or not. I also agree that CWALD is not a chav, and have even been brave enough to say that to her face (then ran away). More importantly, Mandy I hope your daughter recovers soon, particularly from the mental scars. My mum's neighbour's daughter was petrified of dogs (admittedly she hadn't been through what your daughter has), so my sister took her very lovely and gentle labrador down there, and the neighbour brought his daughter in. We held the dog back to stop him being over excited, and slowly but surely she managed to reach out a hand and stroke him. A bit later they were playing in the garden... I suspect now is not the time for this, but it might work in the future... Anyway, best wishes to you.
  22. Yeah I often celebrate St George's day cheering on a Spanish (well Catalan) team. ;-)
  23. A little vegetarian cafe in a little town by the blue mountains in Australia. Mrs Keef had had to endure lots of very meaty eateries, and was getting fed up with chips or salad, so we went to this little place, and it was one of the nicest meals I had over there. All home made soups, humous, lentil things, and that kind of thing. Very hippy, and very very tastey!
  24. Isn't it Man U, Chelsea this weekend? I hope Man U kick the Chelsea players all over the shop, some injuries would be useful for us! At least Man U have a clear mission, win at home and you're in the final... I still think they'll do it at home... Liked Stevie G's attitude yesterday when he said If we don't think we can win, there's no point us going down there... I say go to the bridge and throw everything at them, bol!ocks to this strategy nonsense!
  25. Went with Mrs Keef a couple of weeks ago (only my second time in there). Got sat on a little table right by the queue so had people stood over us. They did move us, but then I stood for 20 minutes queuing, and I think if I'm spending over ?20 on 2 burgers, 2 soft drinks and 1 portion of "fries", I shouldn't have to queue 20 minutes for it! Not impressed.
