  1. Small world Kel, we have a mutual friend not of this forum!

That was a shocking game in a way, Italy refused to play. Good result, and fingers crossed Spain will go all the way.....
  3. Lucky30, I'm guessing we're in a band together? :-S
  4. A couple to avoid! Although that has also reminded me of one of my favourites in G N'R's cover of Live & Let Die!

I really hope Spain beat Italy, I wanted them or Holland, surprised by last night!

So Germany Vs Spain of Holland in the final it would seem (assuming Spain get through Italy, which I hope they do!).
  7. I don't always agree with the way Louisa says things, but in this thread, I think she has, for the most part, spoken from experience, and been rather honest and reasonable... In many ways Peckham is a shadow of it's former self, even I know that from memories of early childhood, and I have chatted to another couple of forumites about this as well. Bellenden is nice, but for someone who used to enjoy Peckham in it's heyday, it probably isn't enough to make up for it! I don't think people should always be so quick to bite Louisa's head off. She has flamed in the past, and some people have probably had a perfect right to have been upset (Asset), but she is just saying what I hear others say. Spangles30 on the other hand just seems like someone who wants to be all controversial, so does it on an internet forum in the saftey of anonymity.
  8. My memory may be playing tricks on me. Where was the big department store, I was sure it was down that end of the high street. Even the indoor market used to be good.
  9. I remember going to the place opposite where the library is now, what was that called? (I was very young, so probably around 1980-82). For all those who want an M&S on Lordship Lane, Peckham used to have one!!!! >:D<
  10. Went to The Bishop on Wednesday to meet a friend after work. Still don't love the place, but a world apart from the horrid weekends! RE Last orders, be aware that even though they sell you a drink, the bouncers don't want to give you time to drink it!
  11. *shuffles feet and whistles a nameless tune*
  12. Eccentric, I can't believe no one (me included) had mentioned With a little help! I almost think of that as his song, as it's just so different, and so much better (in my opinion) than the original.
  13. I do have to kind of go with Louisa RE Rye Lane, in that it was once a really really nice shopping street, and now I do find it a horrid smelly place to be! That is not to say that I find it dangerous or scary, but I'd never go there to shop unless I needed Smith's or Argos *shudders*. This shouldn't reflect on the Bellenden area though, it is just Rye Lane itself which stinks.

What jke said!!! Also agree that I have never seen any drug dealings on the streets in all my years going through Peckham. Og course drug deals happen, but they also happen in the trendiest bars of ED.
  15. East Dulwich to me is from the library, down Barry Road as far as Uplands, down to Crystal Palce, down to Goose Green, along to the roundabout, then up Lordship Lane back to the plough/library. Now I know that cuts out a lot of Dulwich, and I'm very sorry, but that is what I have always thought of as the heart lands. So again, the CPT would pretty much be the centre of my heartlands! :)-D
  16. Treffor isn't really strange, he's just quiet.
  17. I'm taking a guess at 26-27. Oh and KK, I have yet to see evidence that you are a "lady" ;-)
  18. Which again means the CPT, hurrah!!! :)-D
  19. So go on, how old are you? You always like to point out that you're young, so spill the beans! Anyway, many happy returns, have fun... :)-D
  20. Yet we still hear that more homes need to be built... I agree that they do, but the key word here is AFFORDABLE, look at all the empty flats in SE22, take the new build half way up Underhill (modern looking thing on a corner). Not sure a single flat has sold, and yet they're still on the market for ?300k... Hope none sell and the developers have to cut their losses! Having said all that, it's an awful shame if there is a block being built on Piermont Green, it adds character to that little area.

  22. I'm not around this weekend, but would be up for lending a hand occasionally if required.

They couldn't really help but get through against that France team! I'd bet on Spain, but then again, Italy might be hitting form at the right time...
