    Smart phones

I chose my phone specifically for the camera. It's not been the best phone in terms of the software interface, but I cant fault the 12.1mp camera, with proper flash. I have taken some better photos with it than with my proper DSLR camera.
  3. Word to Sean on this one. I'm not a prude either, but from the start, this thread has been a bit teenaged. It wasn't helped by a couple of male posters seemingly finding it all rather titillating, which I think added fuel to the fire. Particularly lines like "you need a real man, heh heh heh", which frankly make me embarrased to be the same gender! DJKQ seems confused as to whether it is just a bit of fun, or if a serious debate is required. The whole sexual abuse stuff came out of nowhere, and is a total fecking nonsense. And binary_star, insulting Huguenots wife, who has absolutely nothing to do with this, is just out of order. IV and Hugo are both grown ups, she made a jibe at him, he responded, but there was no reason for you to get involved like that.
  4. Some have suggested that ImpetuousVrouw has been a bit too honest on occasion ;-)
  5. Makes me laugh that Cameron has suddenly decided to tell ministers to rethink cuts on sports in schools. Suddenly sport is top of his agenda. Hmm

Piers, did you learn that watching "Night at the museum"?
  8. I feel a bit embarrassed sharing on here, being a bloke and all, but my wife swears by this.
  9. Bloody lawyers ;-)
  10. And another thing. I would rather they turn the football (or anything else) off, than have it on with no sound. Very frustrating that you can't hear it, and get in to it, but very distracting from your conversation.

Yes, but it would not chafe like chainmail during a long ride.
  12. But you enjoy watching the rugby internationals, most of which are on Sky, hence my point.

  14. Well, having sat on it, I shall now get one with disagreeing with you. Sporting events, for which a pub has to pay a high premium to show, are not the same thig as Saturday night entertainment, that is shown on terrestrial telly.
  15. Sorry, but earlier you said Icould be missing the point, but I don't see how that is backed up in any way, by the stats you've just posted.
  16. Re: Giving birth in the snow Well at least lying down in the cold snow should take your mind off some of the pain.
  17. Ew, veins! Seriously, I pretty much agree with you GG... BUT, this is a slightly different level of discussion to a thread on cricket. There are seperate forums for this sort of thing you know ;-)
  18. Huguenot gets exactly the response he was aiming for. Good fishing.
  19. Sean, I was kind of joking about the whole manly pub thing. I basically agree with Ridgley, I like to go and chat, with a bit of background music on. I go and watch footy, because I don't have sky, but I still arge that sporting events are a bit different.
  20. Oh dear, puts me to shame, that's the way I go :-$ Saying that, I wouldn't have been able to do any outdoor mobility work with students, so would have been pointless, as I can do paperwork from home.
  21. The pub does often show Eurovision, but that is a bit different IMO. Next people will want Corrie & Stenders on in the pub, and that is just plain fecking wrong. Pubs used to be places where real men went in order to avoid the shite that the missus watched on the box! Oh, and drinking wine with food is a good thing. I am all for adopting good things. This does not ean that we need to adopt silly things.
  22. Last year when we had lots of snow, Mrs Keef's employers (NHS) allowed them one day, but after that, said they had to use holiday. To me, this is a nonsense. If they allow one day, then they are clearly acknowledging that it is not the fault of the worker, so they should either allow nothing, or allow it all. Obviously there would be people taking the p!ss though, so it's difficult to get the balance.
  23. Our daughter was also fine, after the initial shock of the jab. Think the BCG always scars, I've certainly still got a mark from when I had mine, aged 11 or 12.
