I agree with Sean about the volume of cars on the streets, but to be fair that's a different arguement altogether. I'd advise you to call the highways department, and they should be able to remove the space. I assume the current tenants don't have a blue badge, in which card surely they'd be fined for parking there too?

Wow have only just seen this thread as not been in this section for days. I'd be gutted if I were you, but at the end of the day you won't have a leg to stand on if you contest it, so you'll have to cough up and feel the sting. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but for me the most disturbing point is that you were smoking a CIGAR on the street.

Simple solution, ban taking cars abroad, make people rent. if a rental car gets a ticket, the firm are billed and add it to the invoice. People that use these bays without a badge are selfish c**ts!

Hmm guess it wasn't doing the afternoon business to make it worth opening. I used to enjoy sitting in there on days off with a steak sandwich, a paper, a fag and a beer.

Had a few peeps round for a film last night and played Tell no one. Wasn't sure what everyone thought of it really, and for me, having watched it a second time, the ending was a bit too cheesey and French. That said it was still great in my opinion. Have leant someone the book, as I'm interested to see what someone else thinks having seen the film and read the (very American) book. Haven't watched much else recently, been too busy with The Wire.

Has it now closed? I went past yesterday around quarter to 5, and all the chairs were on the tables. Or does it always close before the evening??? I'm sure I've sat there from an afternoon straight through til closing in the past.

Gutted Everton beat City tonight, could have done with it being a draw, or a city win... Can't be bothered looking at their run in now, but hopefully they have some hard games coming up! I'm depressed that at this stage of the season we're looking at Everton, Villa and City instead of the top 3 :(

To be fair to Owen, he scored every time he started a game for Real, he just wasn't glam enough, and Woodgate was injured the whole time he was there. You are spot on though David, we need more players abroad learning different styles of play, and new skills. I'd hate to lose players like Gerrard from the Premiership, but if we want England to be great, that's the sort of sacrifice we need!
