  1. I'm really not sure I'll make it which sucks... If I'm there I'm there, but don't count on me...
  2. Finally, I wanted to post one of my all time guitar idols. There's not a lot of footage of him because he died so young, but there was no one as good as the polker dotted flying V playing Randy Rhodes.
  3. One of my favourite songs. Crap video, but beautiful words and great vocals. Counting Crows - Round Here
  4. Since we were talking about her earlier I thought I'd give us a bit of Kate. Mouthwash Video and a wicked performance of Foundations on Later with Jools.
  5. I am yet to see Yes Prime Minister. Absoutely love Yes Minister, but have only got as far as the one where he becomes the top man. All of them are just so good in thir roles.

    Pub quizzes

    You're probably right :-S
  7. I'm not a masive fan, but I can think of worse places not too far away. I think it's going to get better around there too.

    Pub quizzes

I ended up doing the CPT quiz last night, having just popped in for one after work! There was a pop round and it had 2 Guns n Roses questions! Best quiz I've ever done in there.
  9. Exactly.
  10. She is indeed very cute. There are some sh!t songs, but also some great ones. Foundations is really good, as is skeletons.

    Pub quizzes

Canning on Tuesday... Clockhouse used to have one, but not sure if it's still on. I'm really keen to do the Mag one on a Sunday soon. Haven't been for ages, but it's definitely the most fun quiz! Inside 72 do (or did) one on Sundays too, but it is ram packed, and looks very uncomfortable.
  12. Street Spirit is a good song, and I almost mentioned it in my post, but it's very much on the moaning depressing side of things, and that's one of my big issues with them. I did like that video they did where he was in a giant "Operation" game. Also loved that Father Ted episode where another priest who was reallt depressed stayed with them. Ted and Dougal cheered him up and sent him on his way, The episode ended with him getting on a bus looking all contented, and the redio DJ announcing "here's the new one from Radiohead" (or something like that). Radiohead music starts, priest's smile cracks, priest ends up wailing. >:D< Anyway, at the moment I'm liking Gossip. Although they're much better live, the album sounds like a 4 track demo... Which maybe it is... Also liking Kate Nash's album more and more, but her extra cockney thing still jars me each time.
  13. Fortunately for me, Mrs Keef doesn't like the whole grand wedding sit down meal type thing (I find all that a bit hard to take), and we agreed that we just wanted to have a great party and for everyone to have fun... I even get to play guitar with the band for a while! Result!!!
  14. I have to admire the way they put "public computer at the front of the office where customers can use and search the internet" in bold thus giving themselves yet more free publicity.
  15. What sort of nurse are you? I have a couple of CPN friends who earn bloody loads, which I have to admit pi$$es me off. Not because I don't think they should be earning what they earn, but because a lot of very comparable jobs (including mine) don't get so well paid. What is the average wage of a hospital ward nurse?

    Quiet room...

*Wonders why these chips taste a bit odd... Must be something wrong with this vinegar*
  17. atila the gooner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What ever happened to his side kick, Saint? When I lived in Liverpool, he was a commentator for Liverpool matches on Radio City, which is pretty much their version of Capital. I guess he still does it, the opinionated git... Bless him.
  18. So what if he does. The sooner Owen falls out with him and leaves, the better ;-) Seriously though, I think the press are blowing this up a bit. The player says that his medical advise suggests no risk, so good on him.
  19. The BBC website ran this story too. I think the reason it wasn't front page news weeks ago is that it was all going well then and people were agreeing to it. Now however, the story is that players who pledged haven't paid up. I agree that it is not the responsibility of the players to sort out the issue, but on their money they can afford to keep a promise!
  20. Will go along with Bergkamp. Also Ian Rush and a young Robbie Fowler! As for Owen, he has to start against Russia, think I'd start him on the bench on Saturday...
  21. Ah you can feel the love in the room now ;-)
  22. I was watching that Inside Sport on BBC1 on Monday and they had a thing about the artificial pitch. To be honest it shouldn't make too much difference. Hardly any of the Russia team play on it regularly either, and it's a lot better than the hard old stuff of the 70s and 80s... No excuses, they have to go and do a job... Oh, and my real name is Keith ;-)
  23. Cyprus 1 v 2 Wales England 2 v 1 Estonia Greece 3 v 1 Bosnia-Herzegovina Rep of Ireland 2 v 3 Germany Scotland 2 v 1 Ukraine Will let you know about pub, but will likely watch footy in CPT, then head over to friends pub in Baltham/Clapham for the rugby...
