  1. Why was anyone having a go at Louisa there? Seemed a perfectly fair question to me! ;-)
  2. Ted Max Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Abbey Wood must be well posh. Er... LOL! >:D< I cover Abbey Wood as part of my job, it's the easiest place in the world to get lost!!! They do have a camp site though :-S
  3. Thats cool, I like it! If you look at the skylin of a tiny little place like Singapore, you'd not think that was so extreame!
  4. Beeny Royston & Jadell Posted this on the bank holiday thread aswell, but I really want people to see it. These guys played in the alternative tent at Reading, after all the other stages had shut up. I was with about 4 other mates at this stage, and to a man we were doubled over laughing! :)-D
  5. I forgot to say, on Friday night at Reading after all the main stages had closed, we stumbled in to the Alternative tend where we saw Beeny Royston & Jadell I've never laughed so hard, absolute genius!!!! >:D
  6. Anna, it's a friend's birthday today, so not exactly sure what's happening, but hoping to get in t the CPT to watch at least some of it....
  7. Top fella who always has a smile for people. Good luck to him!
  8. Agree about leaving bags outside. As for the woman, that's well out of order, and I hope the shorts are 2 sizes too small, and she starts to feel fat and hate herself!
  9. Hey Tillie, have you been on your hols, not seen you post for a bit.

    Quiet room...

*Crawls in to room following 4 nights in a tent at a festival, very little sleep, and lots and lots of bad stuff* *Looks around but can't focus* *Falls asleep on floor*
  11. Oh bugger I missed it, did you get a copy Piers?

Forum looks a bit empty >:D
  13. By the way, did anyone watch the Liverpool match (Anna)? I couldn't believe it earlier when I got home from Reading and read that Carragher ended up with a collapsed lung, and Hypia a broken nose!!! Bloody Roy Keane, he's always been a thugish twat, and now it seems his team are playing like he did!
  14. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > the bouncers were > a bit heavy handed about people dancing in the > aisles which I find ridiculous. How can you not > want to shake your butt at a Prince concert? I saw a gig at the O2 a couple of months back, and was really really put off by the "crowd control". You're hearded in to the middle, and they leave a big gap either side of the standing crowd. I came back from the loo and was looking for Mrs Keef, only for this bloke to physically push me in to the crowd! I obviously turned round and told him to f**k off, which didn't seem to please him too much :X As for Prince, I know a couple of people who have been in the last couple of weeks, and all have given rave reviews.
  15. Just back from Rading festival, and feeling a bt brain fried! Highlights... The Smashing Pumpkins didn't let me down, they really were awesome, and a great finish to the whole thing! >:D< Also, just before them were Nine inch nails, and they were really impressive!!! The Gossip were great, she has an amazing voice, and quite a lovable lass she is too. One in a smaller tent was The Living End on the first night. They're an Aussie band that we saw at a festival in Melbourne last New Years Eve, they're good fun, and pretty mean guitarists! Apparently Razorlight were very good, but they're not really my bag, so I went elsewhere. There was some good comedy on, but I can't remember anyone's name. Biggest let down was The Chili Peppers... They were due on for a 2 hour set, and we were expecting all the big hits. However, they started well, then just got extreamly boring and started jamming. Anthony Kiedis seemed really pissed off about a technical hitch, and just didn't seem to want to be there (I suspect he was smacked out of his head). To be fair to them, it was the last gig of a very long tour, but he others all seemed to get in to it. Flea was amazing on the bass, but they were very quiet, and just not particularly good. This was just my opinion, and I heard a lot of people saying the same thing, but others seemed to think they were good, so there you go. However, playing a festival and leaving Under the Bridge out of your set, that's just wrong! Anyway, top weekend, and glad I booked the next 2 days off work, as I need to sleep!!! Think I'm getting to old for all this lark, and felt quite old there, as half the crowd were under 20, and seriously on heat! Follow link for BBCs footage (think it's only on line for a week)
  16. Lets not forget Jeffers ;-) I remember Wenger being very interested in Robbie Fowler when he was at his great peak. Glad that never happened, would have been horrible!
  17. Can't stand Clapton's music, but he is a good guitarist!
  18. I'd light a fag in the pub too!
  19. I hate to say it, but I think the board at Spurs believed their own pre season hype, and expected to win everything this season. They've now told Jol his job depends on qualification for the Champs League! Talk about run before you can walk, surely an FA Cup win would be okay???
  20. PS. DH are in Division 1 south.
  21. 1-0 the Hamlet, attendance 273 HERE is the official site, but not updayed very quickly, so HERE for the league site which usually has the latest scores.
  22. Surely Guns N's Roses should be in that list ;-) Jah, when it comes to Hendrix I'm always torn... Like I say, he did something different which was great, and he had some top tunes (Little Wing and Hey Joe being 2 of my favourites), but just don't think he was the genius everyone made him out to be... Plus he played a strat and it was upsidedown, fool ;-)
  23. Never seen The Wire, what's it all about then??? I need a new programme to get in to.. Speaking of which, The Sopranos!!!
  24. capt_birdseye Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > John Lennon liked his heroin too. And Hendrix. Yep and they were both gob shites! Lennon wrote great songs, but was basically a tw@t, who probably would have gone on to write more crap than he'd written good stuff like his writing partner has done. Hendrix was great for doing something different, but really wasn't that special, and those who put him at number 1 guitarist of all time are crazy! Anyway, he was an idiot who choked on his own vomit, serves him right, maybe it'll happen to Doherty and we can all forget about him.... Note: I realise that what I have just said will probably earn me a proper slating, but I don't care. I hate over rated musicians who are liked because people are told they're good and ought to be liked.
  25. Love the flow chart!
