    RollerSkating

I'm up for some rollerskating in flares!
  2. Although not the most convenient, surely if they can get you your meds the next day, they are a pharmacy... A photo shop is still a photo shop, even if they don't do 1 hour prints. Pharmacy The art of preparing and dispensing drugs Doesn't say anything about on the spot.

  4. Er, what if you don't want to out gross each other, and just want a night out / weekend away with your friends? I totaly agree about the lad thiing, but not every stag do is like that.
  5. I've seen some hen nights which have looked frankly scary!

I'm having 3 depending on how you look at it... This weekend, then a night in London a fortnight beofre for those who couldn't make this weekend. Then the night before, a nice low key boys night of drinking and chatting til the early hours, then a good kip, fry up, dutch courage, get wed. Sorted... :-S
  8. Soz Alan, only just got round to this thread. I've actually never been to a strip / lapdancing club in this country. Only been to the one in Lithuania on the stag that I mentioned on the other thread. Girls were lovely, but to be honest it's not really my thing. I like a good looking woman as much as the next bloke, but would rather be at a cheesey club getting p!ssed with my mates, and maybe chatting to some of the local ladies... Better that than sitting on my hands watching girls that are picked to make you realise that they are what you want, and that you will never have them! As for Oxford, it is indeed a mixed bag, not all posh! I know some people from there, and my friend's sister lives in an area that probably gets more muggings than Peckham, Brixton, or indeed Camberwell. As for my stag, want a mix of chilling on the boat drinking and smoking (heh heh), sitting in country pub eating and drinking, and getting totally lashed in town! :)-D

    Great Gigs

This is how bored I am today, I've just flicked through past diaries 2003 - 06 to see what gigs I've been to. There are definitely a fair few that aren't there, but these are the ones that I found. 25/03/03 Avril Lavigne - Brixton. I make no apologies, she can sing and it was fun. Very strange mix of crowd though (I was 24). 10/11/03 Evanescence - Brixton. Seem to get mixed reactions about this lot, but I really liked them, and Amy Lee's voice is bloody great. This was a fab gig, really raw, dirty and energetic. 24/02/04 Counting Crows - Hammersmith Apollo. Mentioned this earlier. Band were good, venue crap especially when sat upstairs! 30/03/04 Placebo - Brixton. Not a huge fan, went with a mate, and went and waited for him in the bar about 2 thirds in to their set. Think I was ill that night though, and they did play a couple of good tunes and have a great light show. 24/05/04 Evanescence - Wembley Arena. Nowhere near as good as the Brixton gig. Band were good, but not as raw, and Wembley is a sh!t venue!!! 18/06/04 Nickleback - Hammersmith Apollo. Spinal Tap baby! 30/11/04 Snow Patrol - Brixton. Didn't know any of their songs, had heard a couple on the radio and thought they were boring, but went anyway. Came out thinking I'd just seen an amazing performance with a very lively energetic band, and wanted to learn the words for Run so I wouldn't be the only one not singing along if I saw them again! 23/01/05 Velvet Revolver - Guns n' roses meets Stone Temple Pilots = ROCK!!! Slashn& Duff = Gods! >:D< Good old loud guitar music. 19/02/05 The Killers - Brixton. This was an afternoon gig, and the band were obviously saving themselves for the evening. They didn't play badly, but there was no life. Very very disapointing, as I loved Hot Fuss, and it was definitely my album of the moment. 21/04/05 Alanis Morissette - Brixton. Had been meaning to see her for years, and she was great. Stuck to the first album mostly, and was cool singing along with the angry women ;-) 22/07/06 Lenny Kravitz - Brixton. Didn't watch much as friend and I had guest tickets and just got very very drunk! :)-D What I did see was cool. 30/03/06 The Levellers - Dorking somewhere. Was like watching a gig in a school hall with bad acoustics. 05/05/06 Snow Patrol - The Forum. Another good gig from them, and great little venue. 17/05/06 Hard-Fi - Brixton. As discussed earlier, singers voice was gone, it was sh!t. Others to mention are obviously the pogues, Matchbox20 with an aussie mate was a laugh (although again at the rubbish Wembley). One gig that never was was 17/10/05 had tickets for Garbage, and it was cancelled. Shame, as I imagine them doing a good show.
  12. "the best thing. You don't know they're there." Surely if you have working headphones the music in your ears would let you know they were there, no? Madworld74 I'm only messing about, thought that would be obvious from the smiley. Chill lady.

  16. Good point!
  17. By the way, I'm off on my stag do this weekend :)-D
  18. I disagree Alan, I think when the boys get out of the UK, they think they are in a lawless society. One story my friend told me from his last Lithuania trip (the sh!t one) was of a cocky little shit throwing a glass towards some blokes car. The driver got out, walked up to the bloke, and had a knife to his throat. The cocky little git shat himself, and barely said a word the rest of the weekend. My mate assured me it was one of the funniest things he's ever seen! I don't agree with knives, but that guy never would have thrown a glass at a car in London, as he would have known he'd get the sh!t kicked out of him. Why should he feel it's okay when he's in another country?
  19. I went to one in Lithania in 2003 (just as they were entering the EU), and it was fab because the group weren't too rowdy, we all just got nicely pissed and had a good laugh, and only met one other group from the UK. The locals were the nicest lot you could wish to meet. The stag from that do went back last year on another stag do, and said it was awful! It is now full of English lads being complete twats. The locals now hate us (to the point where my friend was putting on Australian accents to avoid being short changed in bars), and it is not a nice experience anymore. I just hate it, I love going out and getting pissed, and having a laugh, but why do so many lads feel the need to act like complete c**ts??? I went to Amsterdam recently to visit my cousin who was living there, and it was so nice to go to places away from all the English people, as the time before that when I went I hated it and spent the weekend feeling embarrassed! ED Stag do's... Well, I have been on the same 2 as Piers, and they were both fun. You're not going to get lap dancing, but there are enough pubs / bars for a good old crawl, and if you can string a sentance together, you might just be able to chat someone up, without having to pay to see her knickers whilst some massive bouncer waits to kill you if you get handy!
  20. I'll make some changes before he weekend and see what happens... I love my footy, and always get in to these things and then forget about them. The monthly game we usually do seems a lot easier, this one seems to take rather a lot of thought :-S
  21. Fair enough if you ask me, I wouldn't want people stood outside my front door all day.

    Great Gigs

    Bless him, what a guy!
  25. I actually on Avril's side there, I don't think it's that she didn't get it, I think it's just that he's not at all funny. I would have sat there straight faced too. Also, if someone doesn't go for one of your jokes, please please please on't push on through to the punchline anyway!
