*Ahem* "Maybe tomorrow I'll want to settle down.... Until tomorrow I'll just keep moving on" :)-D 80's loved LA Law, Dynasty and Hill Street Blues! Cheesy as it is, "I'll be there for you" from Friends has good memories from drunk 90's parties, when everyone was feeling the love! I quite liked the Buffy theme (sad I know). However, the theme I liked most when it was just a theme, was "Here with me" (Dido) used for Roswell in about 1998. Then she got big and I went off it big time! Byker Grove anyone? ;-)

That's why things are so peaceful at the vale recently... I did wonder.

OMG "Love love love love all your money" I saw them when I was a teenager too. The bass player headbutted the singer in the nose, and she played the rest of the gig "singing" with blood everywhere... Cool >:D< Top ones for me are Smashing Pumkins Astoria2 1994 Metallica Milton Keyens super bowl about 1993 (Supported by Mega Death... ROCK!!!). Ozzy Osbourne at a theatre in Mancherster in 1991... My first ever gig when I was about 13. Ozzy rules! Or at least he used to before he went all mainstream on our asses ;-)

Alan Dale Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Gigs are good unless you go to see Hard Fi. Band were okay, but he was shocking! Anyway, I'm heading to The Pogues on Tuesday 18th December, so if you're up for it, aim for that night!!!!

We had Film4 +1, which was handy, as it worked, and for some reason Film4 won't at my gaff. However, that seems to have now transformed in to Big Brother +1 :X

I've never been in this place, and probably never will, but to be fair, I've never seen any trouble there like fights outside... More than can be said for most of the bars on "the strip"!

*Passes Tillie an extra special Zombie* *Takes 2 glasses over to the window and eases in to Lazyboy chair* *Cheers, life is good*
-
*Walks in having spent a lovely evening with DM at the Opera in Rome* *Looks around at the mess and decides that it will be safest to stand behind the bar to avoid mud splashing* "Zombie anyone? Jah I'm looking at you..." :)-D

Think all the English clubs will be okay... Chelski have the toughest with Valencia, but should be fine. Celtic have a bugger of a draw!

Brixton is my favourite, also like the Forum and Astoria. Apollo has crap sound, and hate Shep Bush Empire cos it was the first place where I couldn't smoke!!! Anna when is Squeeze? Might just be interested in that ticket.... Jah, I'll discuss Pogues with you over a beer soon. Xmas 2004, Shane not bad singing, but couldn't understand a word he said between songs, and he had to go off every 3 songs or so for a drink break. 2005 Different man, seemed to have pulled himself together a lot, and gave a great performance! I'm told he was good last year, but I was in Oz.

Squeeze?!?!?!?!?!? That is so cool!!! Up the junction is one of the best songs ever!

By the way Fear, what's the name of that band who do the purple song? They were fun, and I saw them again on Reading highlights, wouldn't miond catching them! Also Eagles of death metal were cool... Not death metal as the name would suggest.

Agree with Fear RE Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon... And Chilis come to that. Jah, if you fancy the Pogues this year we'll get a gang together, I'm well up for it, the whole academy is like a massive Irish pub for the night! :)-D

Yeah, it's always nice to have an easy path in to the final ;-) Great to see 4 out of 8 top seeds for our very own league!!! (tu)

Polly, let me know how it is, might do the same....

I am rock bottom, but can't really be bothered changing anything to be honest... Can't access it from work, and I think Mrs Keef would have my head on a plate if I spent all evening sorting my footy team out (especially when she wants the laptop for work).

Thought I'd start a thread about live music, for people to either tell us about gigs they're going to, have been to, or want to go to. Also, people could let us know if they hear of any upcoming shows that shouldn't be missed (I'm not really talking local events here by the way). Having seen them at Reading, I am well chuffed that a work colleague has just offered me a spare ticket to see The Gossip on the 13th! I shall report back, am expecting a good gig, she's got a fab voice! Also The Pogues are doing their regular xmas gigs at The Brixton Academy. Tickets yet to go on sale, but they do 3 nights, so you can usually get them. I've been twice in the last 3 years, and intend to go this year. Even if you're not a massive fan (I wouldn't call myself a huge fan, but like a fair few songs), it's a really fun night, and I really do find it gets me in the Christmas spirit >:D< Anyway, I love going to gigs, so post on here if there's something I should be seeing!

The Ivanhoe (Hoopers) - East Dulwich, Peckham or Camberwell?
Keef replied to Alan Dale's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
At least the planning application proves once and for all it's South Camberwell. -
Yes but if developers are possibly happy to torch a Greek forest killing 60 odd people to get their way, I can't see them stopping because a building looks nice. That said, they haven't got the concrete house yet, and as much as I love it, it seems to be getting more and more dangerous, and a risk to health. Starting to turn against it!

*Wakes up from long slumber* *Clicks fingers and is suddenly clean, fresh, sexy as hell, and dressed sharply* *Join me for a drink DM?* :)-D *Puts Smashing Pumpkins "Live at Reading" recording on*

Ashley Cole is a twat, end of conversation I think ;-) Yossi was great last night, and a job well done. Liked Kuyt's work ethic too, the boy wanted a goal, and ended up with 2 through hard work. Now Celtic and Arsenal to compleye the 6 British teams....
-
Sean there's no mention of that on their website, and I'm not sure they could actually do that.. As for going up the tower, that would be quite a view! That tower scares me though, there's something very Omen about it! (6)
