  1. Superb Mark!!! >:D
  2. Sorry to bring back to life a very old thread, but I am thinking about treating myself.... Has anyone got a Nikon D50? Which had it at number 2 in their best buys a couple of months ago, second only to the canon EOS 350D, and it's a damned sight cheaper than everything else!!! NOTE: Which don't take the price in to account, so that didn't earn it points...... What do you think?
  3. They wouldn't show Saddam's hanging, or that poor Daniel thingy, the american journalist who was beheaded... It's just pointless and nasty! And lets be peck here, she died 10 years ago, who cares? Her family obviously... And stupid people who want want to watch this snuf crap!

Funnily enough, the vast majority of the CPT staff are in our Reading party... Have you ever heard of the Ashton Court Festival in Bristol? Thats a lovely little festival with local bands and things going on.
  5. Very well said! I really don't get how they can claim public interest! Channel 4 used to be pretty good, but these days the seem to think everything needs to be sensational... Bloody Big Brother!

  7. I used to love the market when I was a long haired teen in leather jacket (as opposed to long haired "grown up"), but last time I went (about 3 years ago), it was absolute shite!!!!!! All the live music venues have gone down hill too (td)
  8. 3 pages on this.... God you really do feel strongly!

As someone who has been "enlightened" a couple of times in my life, I'm not a huge fan of the whole dirty smelly experience.... I also think "Glasto" is the most pretentious festival of the lot. Going to Reading because I like 2 bands on the line-up, but a big bunch of us are going to spend the weekend absolutely off our trollies... Too be honest though, I'd rather watch a band I like in a little indoor venue with a bar...

  11. Yeah, I popped in a while back (whilst on the way somewhere else), and it was horrid!!! Still, it used to be packed with kids from my school back when I was about 14-15, and it was a real grungey dump then!!!! Just the way I like a pub :)-D
  12. Well that's a fair point...... Wander how their applications for citizenship are going ;-)

  18. Alan, you mentioned the Camberwell Vale.... PLease make it so!!! SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My brother used to run the New Cross Inn about 2-3 > years ago... when it was in it's cleaning up > phases and decent pizzas and before it fell back > to earth Was that when it was called "Bar Alchemy" for a short while? I played a gig there, but this was probably late 2003, so might have been before his time.

  20. I haven't really looked at this thread properly til now... Much as I like Greetings, I don't see the problem with another card shop. Business is business, and if someone wants to open a shop because they think it'll work, then good for them! I agree that there are plenty more exciting things that could open, but if noone wants to open them, then we'll keep on getting Estate Agents... Because they keep on making money... Much like the cards... There have been so many comments on this forum about what people would like, and there have been some fab ideas... I personally like the idea of a music shop selling instruments and records, but I just don't think it would really work in the area... However, there are plenty of people going in to all the little gift shops and buying the little useless gifts, which is why they keep going, and more keep opening. Seems simple :-S
  21. All star, I like the way you put that there.

I have a myspace page, but think it's only really good for bands and musicians. Facebook seems to have more adults on it! ;-)
