    Quiet room...

*Walks in looking excited, as just had good conversation with potential new boss, and may be joining Southwark.......* *Thinks "right that's enough thinking about work"* *Grabs a beer and raises glass to pals* :)-D

    Religion.....

Mrs Keef (who IS NOT religious) has a beautiful bible. It's 2 separate books, and it's set out like a novel as opposed to the classic 2 columns and tiny print. She thinks it's just an amazing piece of literature.

Whoa whoa whoa, Hillsborough and Heysel are 2 very very different things!!!! Heysel, yes there were thugs, and it's a shamefull bit of history... Hillsborough was tragic, and if anyone deserves blame, it's the police!!! However, because it was after Heysel, you had the Sun saying that the Liverpool fans were stealing from the pockets of their dead!!! Bloody disgrace! Last night when I heard about the people getting in with fake tickets, I did think of Hillsborough, and thank God nothing like that happened!
  4. Mrs Keef and I are off to Rye that day, so won't be able to join you this time...

    Religion.....

Something that has always really really annoyed me, and has caused arguements with Mrs Keef, is the way a lou of non-religious people act and talk like they're so superior to religious people, who all must be stupid for believing in something. As was pointed out earlier, there is no proof that God doesn't exist... Okay, so the stories in the old testament are not possible, but I don't think most christians would argue that they are. I think they're a collection of stories from which you're meant to gleen morals and values... Just my opinion :-S
  6. Mate there have been threads about this, slim pickings I'm afraid! The Uplands does, or did, but there have been mixed reviews...
  7. Remember though, they start winding down about 2 ;-)
  8. A friend of ours got a text from his mate before the match saying he'd paid 70 euros for a fake and walked straight in with it!!! I can see the appeal for him, but it's so out of order!
  9. My hanover sucks!!!! No shame in that loss, Liverpool did themselves proud, just got caught out :( Oh well, as Mockney said to me last night, in 2 years time we'll have the decider to end all deciders!!!! >:D<
  10. If I am late for the bloody footy, I am going to stab someone at the train station!!!!! Well, maybe not, but I'll be rather miffed! :-$
  11. Oh, and Piers, come to the CPT, you know you want to!!! ;-) I shall be the bloke in the 96-97 Liverpool shirt (the year I arrived up there).
  12. I too get loud! >:D< Hmm, Snorky.... `UEFA Cup a couple of years back...... Newcastle?

    Religion.....

I don't think they do... I think everyone's opinions on religion or whatever else should be accepted / respected, so long as they respect the fact that I disagree, and might want to argue a point with them. For example, I have no time for racism, but I'd be inclined to have a bit more time for someone that would sit and explain to me why they feel how they do, and listen to my reasons for disagreeing, rather than just telling me to f**k off... It's the same with religion as far as I'm concerned. People have every right to believe what they want, but they need to accept that that right is extended to everybody!

    Religion.....

Here you go Alan Dale, the thread is started, so ask away... >:D< NOTE: If anyone personally attacks anyone elses beliefs on here, the whole thread should be deleted. We're all allowed an opinion, and should respect each other's!!!!!! :))

    Quiet room...

*Enters room, and fidgets lots* *Thinks to self I have so much work to do, but really can't concentrate as I'm rather excited about tonight* :-S
  17. By the way, Snorky, were you very upset by an amazing Steve McMannaman goal in the UEFA Cup about 1998(ish)??? That could explain why you don't like Liverpool....
  18. I think you're right Huguenot! I shall be in the CPT.... if anyone is coming along, get there early, it will be really busy... As will everywhere I guess... Did the EDT 2 years ago, and not actually sure why, but I can't watch it anywhere other than the good old CPT toniht! Will be with I've-met-Jimmy (another Liverpool fan), as well as Fear, and probably some others......
  19. Ditto Piers
  20. I can't stand that smug, self righteous tw@t!!!! He genuinely reminds me of Clarkson!!! Fair enough, some of the people I've seen him interview have been talking nonsense, but his way of doing things seems to be along the lines of "if you disagree with me, you're wrong"..... Hope I'm not thinking of the wrong person here, and sure he's had worse criticism if he reads this....
  21. Tillie mentioned that to me at the last drinks.... Shall we get a gang together one weekend then? I can't do the next 2 Sundays, but would definitely be up for it some time.... 10th June anyone???
  22. Old Skool Lampost like the one in Narnia >:D
  23. fractionater Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Grolsch....yuk! HOW DARE YOU!!! ;-) Seriously, I like it.... Actually quite like Heiniken these days too, since they got rid of that watery cr@p we used to have, and made it all 5% like it is in Europe. Red Stripe is okay, never had it as a student, but would certainly have it over Carlsberg, Carling or forsters (watery, gassy rubbish that just gives me the hicups and makes me need the loo more often than I'd like!).
  24. That would indeed be awesome.... Not really anywhere that you could do it though, as without an entertainment license, only 2 people can play at a time.... Stupid rule really, as one person with a big amp can make more noise than 5 people playing quietly :-S
