*Clinks glass with Tillie, and sympathises, as had own unpleasent dental experience a couple of weeks back!* *Looks around for DM...... And wonders what's happened to Shambles of late :-S * *Decides not to worry too much, and get drunk instead* :)-D

*Comes in dancing to "The Hippy Hippy Shake" by swinging blue jeans* *Grabs cocktail shakes and starts throwing them about Tom Cruise style...* * Hits self on head with said cocktail shaker, and gets very wet!* *Shugs, and asks Bagpuss for sex on the beach* *Rubs slapped cheek* :(
  3. Sounds like a plan!!!! :)-D
  4. It's not always a case of not being able to afford, sometimes it's more about a fool and his money...... :))
  5. I don't think that taking food out to the streets will be particularly helpful, however well intentioned... However, your average soup kitchen is well used by those people who actually do want food, and will go somewhere to get it... Why can't this waste food be sent to charity kitchens where people could go for decent meals? I think I may have the answer to my own question.... As it is at its "sell by / use by" date, they probably can't legally give it away... These days are the really problem, as generally they're bo!!ocks. I still get p!ssed off when some reasonably well off git is taking the food from the bins to "stick one up to the corporate giants".... Just hope he's careful not to ruin his designer trousers made in an Asian sweat shop, whilst he's rummaging! ;-) By the way, did anyone watch that thing about the human footprint last night? Think it was on more4.... Very generalised, but made you think about things!

    gay girlies

She joined us for a poker night at Fear's place a good few months back... In fact probably 9 - 12 months!!! Think she's in Twickenham a lot at her lass' place. Anyway, she seemed very happy then.....
  9. It really really does make you ashamed to be a brit! When I was in Amsterdam a few weeks back, I was so glad my cousin had the local knowledge to take us off the beaten track, because every group of English lads I saw just made my hang my head!

Badger, are you sporty at all? Please don't think I'm stereotyping, a friend of mine split with her lass about 3 years ago now, and after getting over it, went and started playing in a girls footy team, and found herself surrounded by new, mostly gay, friends, and was quickly in a new relationship with a lovely lass, which is still going strong! :)) Oh, and on a very loosely related topic, has anyone seen Electric 6 (see the link) live? They're playing at a bar near my sister's work soon, and we were considering going to see them...... *gonna spend all your money.....* ;-)
  12. I was thinking about Ukraine, but if it's anything like the Baltic islands, word will get round very quickly, and within a very short space of time, it will be full of absolute w@nkers from England ruining the place, and making them all hate us! Believe me, when I went to Vilnius, it was a lovely friendly plae with barely any brits, and I always planned on returning for a proper break, as it was beautiful! However, a mate went last year, and it is unrecognisable! Full of British stag parties, and very (understandably) resentful locals! :(

    The Plough Pub

I think there's an All Bar One in Forest Hill, so they're not far away..... :-S

*Thinks to self "Ant's virtually a regular at the CPT now..... If I'm not careful he'll be sitting on MY stool"....... Plots to be in the CPT every hour they're ever open so as to protect favouite spot at the bar* :)-D ;-)
  15. I'm sorry if I sounded a bit strong, and I definitely didn't mean to sound like it was a personal attack, but why do it at a loss, when the council will pay for it for you?!?!? Why don't you offer your design forward as something to be funded by Southwark, so these bags (which are cool) can be had by lots of people at a sensible price....... Alternitively, charge ?30 to cover your costs..... If they're selling like hot cakes, you should have no trouble finding some stupid people to part with their money... Not because they give a hoot about the environment, but because they have a limited edition bit of cotten that they paid ?30 for... ;-)

*Notices the smile on Bagpuss' face and wonders if she saw that nice lad from down the road last night* ;-)

*Smiles to self at referrence to the web slinger.... Watched Spiderman 3 the other night, and was pleased to still be a big kid in many ways* >:D< *Yawns* *Curls up in LazyBoy Chair and closes eyes*

  19. That's just ludicrous! ;-) Hmm Tuscany, Peckham Registry Office, Tuscany, Peckham Registry Office *weighs up in hands*..... :-S
  20. Marty: It's very pretty. Nigel: You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really. It's sort of - Marty: What do you call this? Nigel: Well, this piece is called "Lick My Love Pump." >:D< Sorry :-$
  21. Went there a couple of weeks back on a Saturday evening and it was pretty full. Okay so it's tacky TexMex, but 4 of us had tasty, filling food, a jug of very nice sangria (sp?) and a couple of beers for under ?70, I don't think that's at all bad, and we all enjoyed it (tu)

I went to the Lambeth country fair last year, and they were handing very nice cloth bags out for free! Like I said before, I'm all for people being green, but it sickens me when greedy people take advantage of those good intentions!
