I got an external harddrive to back up my photos and mp3s. Then i got another one to periodically back that one up too. One day I'll get round to burning everything to something less magnetic, probably Blu-Ray. It's the only way to be safe. PR, you're tunes are on your PC somewhere. Try right clicking on a song in the library and clicking "Get Info" At the bottom of the first tab it will say Where: You can right click on that and click "Copy Path" you can then copy that path, which will look something like this K:\music\Music\Panda Bear\Person Pitch\04 Im Not.mp3 into explorer. Delete the song reference (ie K:\music\Music\Panda Bear\Person Pitch\) and it will open up the directory.Most of your music will probably be hanging about in the vicinity

It all works but there are foibles. My main issue is that my home folder is an extrnal drive and if I forget to switch it on before power up iTunes gets all uppity and chnages it's home drive (the apostrophe in it's is another example of apple thinking it knows better btw). Basically hit the library... Consolidate library thing and make sure you have enough space and make sure you know where everything is. All my music apart from the pilotlight single is ripped from my CDs to the horror that is MP3.

I also noticed this autumn that my trains were delayed due to 'adverse seasonal conditions'. I guessed that noone will ever dare utter 'leaves on the line' again. Weirdly my commute was absolutely fine this morning but there are only about four people in the office. I think people like to use the snow as a bit of an excuse!!

My friends have a single out at the moment. Can we cause a genuine upset by getting four unknowns for Dublin to number one at christmas. Rather disturbingly I think it's only a matter of time before reality tv does go that far. Wasn't there one in the states wih a bunch of ill people wrestling each other naked in mud forthe right to get someone's kidney or something like that?

Does anyone else think Louis Walsh sits right at the bottom of the uncanny valley. I'm really not convinced he is human. Also feel free to replace %louis walsh% with Amanda Holden or John Travolta in the above sentence. And though Simon Cowell looks human he is completely devoid of normal human/emotional responses, like he hasn't got the hang of being human yet, so I'm going with alien in a donned human skin (can anyone find out if he gets hamsters and mice delivered to his room) or a demon.

A couple of years ago I'd have said xbox no question about it. These days there's little in it. PS3 is a better machine and not quiiiite as noisy plus it has blu ray. Xbox live is still a bit of winner but Sony are fast catching up and I doubt paragon's MW2 experience is any different to mine. Xbox still a bit cheaper. Basically are there any exclusive must have games on either side? If not then flip a coin.
