  1. I really was interested in how the military chaps on here felt about the legality. Had a peruse of the attorney general's advice and it's not exactly reassuring. http://www.globalpolicy.org/component/content/article/168/36072.html sadly lord goldsmiths controversial yay or nay is not in the public domain but the ahve is less than emphatic.
  2. Do you mind my asking if you had concerns regarding the legality of the invasion and if you were reassured by lord Goldsmmith's advice? Just had a quick read of his advice to Blair, interesting bit in proportionality that military action "must be a proportionate response to securing compliance with iraq's disarmament obligations. That is not t say that action cannot be taken to remove saddam Hussein from power...but regime change cannot be the objective of military action" Cant say that seeing as Iraq was complying to it's obligations and the inspectors weren't given a chance to ascertain this that that advice sits easy with legal invasion. I have great respect for our armed forces but I'm very vrymuch against the use of violence to achieve political aims, just so you know where I stand :)
  3. Nobody hates you, and at the very least you have buckets of enthusiasm and seem earnest. It's just thy many, and I definitely speak for myself here, suspect you have the critical faculties of a Speak & Spell. What evidence do I need? Well some would do for starters rather than aa acattershot list of things that have gone a litle bit tits up of late. Banks nationalised? Isn't that a good thing as far as socialism is concerned?
  4. I'm guessing you didn't read much of the thread then AFN. Your pal PRO is asserting that the London bombings were committed by the government to garner support for the 'war on terror'. I am indeed finding that hard to grasp and require more evidence than being repeatedly told I'm closing my eyes or that I have a safe little life and that he can see the truth. Can you help fill in the gaps please?

  6. Sorry AFN, you're totLy in agreement with Pro? Can you provide the evidence regards governmet conspiracy I've repeatedly requested then?
  7. I'm sure your expression of support is appreciated by the moderators whomsoever they may be. To be honest this forum is incredibly self regulating. The moderators have surprisingly little to do because, in effect, every regular poster is a moderator in the way they behave and request standards of behaviour (respect, courtesy, daft wittiness) of newcomers.
  8. Tell me it ain't so. Who'll look after your pussy now?!?!??! Noooooooooooooooo
  9. Over Glastonbury apparently, nearer you than us. I just keep seeing those dratted red ones by the evil NHS, with the injured opressed masses inside. Fight the power!!!

  11. As keef says, admin is admin, moderators are merely aides - not the type available from the council - there is no pay, just a personal interest in hoping the forum remains both useful and entertaining. What would you like Cate?
  12. The enlightened masses seem car more con erned with Britains got talent than grassroots revolution. And I don't think they're being kept down by the man, I just don't think it appeals. Fridge, big screen tv, a roof over their heads and decent employment law protecting us all from exploitaton. Not such a bad old world compared to any time in the past ever. Plus revolutions have a habit of having pretty nasty consequences, not just from the slim elite tier that's removed but for everyone. Witness the various terrors in France through Russia to Iran and Cambodia. Not a great precedence. Of course you're different and benign. Especially with the apparent omnipotent grasp of the truth you have; I'm almost looking forward to your enlightened and above all reasoned Nd reasonable leadership. Roll on ?No Pasar?n!
  13. I'm still waiting for the proof that it was the government rather than the papacy, the illuminati or the southwark primary care trust.
  14. Or It. Do lizards have a gender?
  15. Moderators can only cajole, persuade and at worst hide posts. Only He who is Admin has the zappy finger of truth. Err I imagine. One of the moderators was subjected to serious harassment which resulted in a ban and a report to the police, thus anonimity is generally respected by the many forumites who may actually know who peter Parker really is.
  16. Assuming hypothetically that the evidence that the accepted story doesn't stand up to scrutiny, where is the evidence that points towards the hypothesis that it was the British government courting support for an unpopular war (although they were happy toembark on it without popular support so strange why they would try and drum up support two years later, having already won the election) rather than say, a anti-muslim smear campaign by those pesky Catholics? Cripes, that's sentence and a half!!
  17. On a slightly serious note, if you have pills I strongly advise taking them again, they're givento you for a very good reason.
  18. Seriously my sister-in-law's best friend was killed that day. She and her family didn't g&t confirmation for over a week there was so little left to find. I kindly suggest you take your delusional nonsense and fuck off frankly. Tit!! Only Iiiiii have the truth, you are all bliiiiiind. Ha ha, wanker!!
  19. Yes, wasn't it Tom Courtenay, post Billy Liar I guess, and a staggeringly young James Fox. So many great themes in that film, all wrapped up in a thoroughly entertaining package. An underated classic methinks
  20. Saw King Rat the other day. They don't make em like they used to!!
  21. "Uri Geller, Jackson's friend and now acting King of the Freaks, said: "I feel so desperately sorry for all the freaks today. He was their Diana, their Elvis, their Mother Theresa and their Jade Goody all rolled into one. Which is actually what he looked like too. Check out this spoon." On the internet, chat forums were awash with Jackson tributes from people who were convinced he was a pervert and wanted him strung up, but who were now desperate to tell the world that he was a victim of the media and that Thriller was a ground-breaking work of genius. Jen, from Milwaukee, wrote: "As you said Michael, Billie Jean was not your lover and neither was Macaulay Culkin, regardless of what I may or may not have written on my blog four years ago. I hope you find peace in freak heaven." Pete, from London, said: "The way you danced like a zombie changed the way people thought about dancing like a zombie forever. Rest in Pop."" TDM
  22. *removes lid from hole punched cardboard box and emerges, somewhat bleary eyed and disheveled* *dusts self down, failing to get rid of most of the straw, and looks up appreciatively at the warm sunshine* "I do belive this calls for a G&T"
  23. Stonehenge ain't English either. Nothing remotely resembling a nation existed then though research points towards the top bods who built stonehenge may well have come from what Is now Brittany, so conceivably the French could have a claim, though Brittany didn't even consider itself part of France until the late 18th century....complicated innit.
  24. -"Do you post?" -"Only from the east"
  25. does a nice chilli drink. I'll give it that.
