  1. "as for inprisonment(sic)(sic) without due process, give me a break" Treble take. You're proposing that due process be scrapped? Well, you've a point, due process is for namby-pamby bleeding heart liberals after all. The police have proved that they never make make mistakes, or ever have anything but the most scrupulous intentions, so who needs courts for goodness sake. We'll soon put a stop to these trustafarian types, and remember if you do nothing wrong you have nothing to fear!
  2. "Go and mow someone down in your car and then say Sorry...etc...blah" Nice one, you really are a tit sometimes Matthew.

  4. "Unfortunately you don't have any such 'right' in the eyes of the law. So if you are protesting you can certainly expect the police to do all in their power to bring the streets back to a state of order. as for inprisonment(sic) without due process, give me a break. You chose to take part in an unlawful gathering and so the police acted within their rights in this instance." fuck me, Franco would have loved you.

  8. I had no idea you thought so ill of West Ham keef!!
  9. "we'll make sure they don't happen again and other people won't go through the same horrors." Well that's pretty much happened following the implementations recommended by the Taylor Report, so basically they want someone to say "sorry, my bad". Sounds fair enough to me, a little sorry goes a long way.
  10. *edited as no longer makes any sense*
  11. I'm inclined to agree. Peaceful marches don't influence government. French farmers and fishermen may be a pain in the arse, but they sure as hell get their way a great deal. Not sure the fishermen will this time as there aren't actually enough fish to fill their quota demands, but hey, reality bites (or in this case, doesn't).
  12. It was alright, but thought it was all in-jokes, failed to spot any actual jokes. Still, nice blast from the past.
  13. No daizie, even the worst pork sausage will have some pork in it. I know crab sticks are reconstituted fish waste product with tartrazine added, but I just can't help it.
  14. well I must say I'm pretty disappointed with their knuckle rap of the wonderful Mr Bowen (local lad too)
  15. 36% Come on...who doesn't like crab sticks, or think M&S foodhall is too expensive?!

  17. Yeah just ignore it, it kept telling me the same thing. You do lose some functionality by not having windows media center on vista, but you can still connect and stream stuff, I managed it. Just go to videos, shared media and select your pc (which you've already given permission to share with your xbox). Should do the trick, same with the music bit. Persuading it to find your music on your pc can sometimes be a bit tricky though.
  18. touche indeed ;) Ok from my personal experience it was brought up by just about everybody I met abroad at some point. I think it's safe to say that it tainted opinion among most Europeans during that period.
  19. Err, riiiiight, 47 million people all deserving of damnation because of the actions of football's hooligan element...okaaaaay, that's balanced.
  20. Sadly it created a mind set about most English among most Europeans, one that took many many years to disappear. I had that one thrown in my face every time I went to Europe, particularly Spain until at least the mid 90s.
  21. Definitely Keef and snorky. I'd also add that the opinions of this forum don't really amount to a hill of beans for pretty much anything for the most part beyond maybe what should be put on the goose green roundabout, or doggy fence vs no fence. Doesn't stop us discussing stuff though does it.
  22. "Southern Comfort & lemonade" that's my puke drink, the one I can't touch. Good choice looking back, I know people for whom it's red wine, what a tragedy. On the whole Harp, cheap cider, martini rosso (classy), lambrusco (back when screw caps were still a bad thing on wine), thunderbird *gags a bit*, oh lets face it, anything I could get hold of. Luckily a few months before I was 16 a few pubs opened their doors to us and we could join the world of Greene King ales and bad lager.
  23. I have yet to find a girl who wears short floaty skirts and does spinning kicks while making cute squeals. I can't help feeling that game gave me unrealistic expectations for life :(
  24. oh dear god that's tragic Rosie, its a computer game for goodness sake, some sort of weird fetishist huh? *says nothing of chun li, or Ivy or Taki from Soul Caliber, nothing, no nothing at all, or, heaven forbid...Lara Croft*
  25. OOh, finally I have embarrassing crush. Susan Kennedy is surely still a top NBO!!
