We have a Bosche washing maching and a tumble dryer, both absolutely excellent. Their washer / dryers get good reviews: https://www.reevoo.com/browse/product_type/washer-dryers/Construction/Freestanding/product_brand/Bosch
  2. Also foxy I came across a frequency meter you kindly lent me. Sorry! I'll arrange to drop it back to you shortly. Also if you need help getting the reservoir out I've got all the tools to do that.
  3. Cracks in that type of plastic can usually be mended with a soldering iron and cable ties as the solder. Look up plastic welding on YouTube.

I agree with RH's points, plus I'd say you are more likely to be able to add value to the HO flat long term. HO transport links are better I'd say due to the overground (not just for the into town commute, Gatwick is about 30 minutes away).
  5. Very sad to see you go. Best of luck in the future

  7. Thanks James, I'm very sure you will be back.
  8. We back right onto the playing fields and it is lovely. They've just finished playing this morning, and I find the noise very relaxing. Agree with Amy above.

  10. I pick up this route from Ladywell, it's lovely all the way to Sydenham
  11. In Peckham Rye, just on a short lead inside the signs, but not at all in the picnic area and children's play area. 12. Midhurst and Petersfield are both nice, as is Winchester. All good for the South Downs (try Harting Hill for lovely views and a stroll). All along the A272, and about 1.5 hours down the A3 by car, or Petersfield and Winchester by train. Close to Winchester is this: http://www.winchestersciencecentre.org/ There is plenty there to entertain toddlers.
  13. Brilliant, thank Foxy. I'll PM you when I have collected the unit.
  14. Thanks Foxy, that's great! I'll need to collect one of the working ones sometime next week. I'll buy you a pint in the EDT as thanks. Is it a quick thing to do the measurement?

  16. Hi Bargee The remotes are for security shutters on an office block. There are two working remotes and this broken one, so I can't modify the receiver. But a good suggestion. Hi Abe Yes, you would have thought so, but no such joy. The shutters are about 30 years old I think. The fact I can't find a crystal with the 57.768 anywhere makes me think it may be a red herring, as I have found a couple of 7.68 Mhz ones (at 44p with ?12.50 postage!). Does anyone know if there is some way to measure the frequency from one of the working remotes?
  17. Thanks all for your help! From my research so far I've not found anything with the 57.768MHz frequency, but I'll press on. Graham, I had considered that, but the breaks are so clean there is nothing to solder to, at least not with my rubbish skills and failing eyesight.
  18. Can anyone with an understanding of electronics help me? I'm trying to fix an old garage door style remote control. A component has snapped off the circuit board, and I'm not sure what it is. I think it may be the transmitter crystal or something. It has (had) two legs - these have snapped. It is labelled 57.768 UNI 97 - A. I've attached a couple of photos. The component sat next to the green thing in the area labelled X1. Thanks for any help.
  19. Hi Kristina Have you seen this thread? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1772236,1819090#msg-1819090 Johnie

Call them up, in the past AldLife have come round in their van and collected stuff from us.
  22. I thought this had been covered: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1563597,page=1
  23. How about a Thai green or red curry? Really easy to find good pastes (try the oriental supermarket on Hanover Park beside Morrison's car park), then you just need coconut milk and lots (lots) of fresh coriander. Pick up some of their frozen starters too. You must get the sticky Thai rice too, not the same without it.
