  2. I'd second the Aquarius Golf Club: http://www.aquariusgolfclub.co.uk/pages.php/index.html Great location, good rooms and bar, lovely views and outside space.
  3. Try this to see speeds in your area. It's usually quite a good indicator. http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/broadband_speed_in_my_area_v2.aspx

    My first car

Cortina Mk2 estate. It was ace, but the rubber on the cross-ply remoulds would peel off if I pushed more than 70mph.

  10. Very sorry to hear that. I always enjoyed chatting to him when I popped in, very nice chap.
  11. I'm using an HP Envy with a fifteen inch touchscreen, running Windows 10, and it's great. I use it with a mouse and keyboard during the day (I'm a software developer), then use it as a TV in the evening, when the touchscreen comes into its own. I'd recommend you get something with a hybrid SSD /HDD, or if you can afford it a full SSD. Everything is so much quicker. I've the hybrid drive, and full shutdown to back to the desktop is about 45 seconds.

  14. Walk up forest hill road. Turn left into Honour Oak rise, walk to the end then follow the steps to the end.
  15. Just got back after doing (some of) the Shoreham Circular Walk 2. We had to cut it short as the light was going, but thanks for the great guide, very easy to follow, well done! Lovely village I had no idea existed.
  16. Honestly, just hand it into the bank. They have contact details for their customers, and when I've done this they've been reunited within hours.
  17. Both clips are private on youtube.
  18. I saw this a week ago on Barry Road, just two bored looking blokes in the back of the Range Rover.
  19. It can be tempting to just buy single valley passes, but it is so much more fun to hop over into Meribelle and Val Thorens. Also if you do cock up and end up in the wrong valley taxis are bout 120 euros between the valleys. I'm very jealous, I'd love to be going.
  20. I've done this route many times over the years. I definitely break the journey at a Formula One Hotel or Mr Bed. I haven't done it for a few years but I think we might have stayed here a couple of times: http://www.hotelf1.com/gb/hotel-2323-formule-1-hotelf1-reims-tinqueux/index.shtml It's right beside a Carrefoure hypermarket that has a very good canteen restaurant. Also a good place to stock up on provisions. If you don't do that there, on the last stretch of road, the D915, before hitting the drive up the mountains proper is another supermarket, a Super U, just before the road splits to Meribelle / Courcheval. Definitely stop there as as soon as you're past the treeline everything doubles in price. Don't be tempted to stop at the hypermarkets in Albertville as there are often car break-ins in the car parks, as people are on the lookout for UK cars loaded with luggage.
