  1. I would say that if you watch a real drunk in action for any period of time they seem to have plenty of "down time", as if they are trying to focus on what they are trying to do before actually doing it, whereas this guy never stops moving - so I think he's a phoney.
  2. Looks like a fake to me. An out of work actor with time on his hands.
  3. Both Ends Burning - Roxy Music
  4. 2010 heralds the coming of "Silence of the Lambs - the Musical" (unauthorised). I kid you not. ?Plays like vintage South Park scored by Andrew Lloyd Webber? ? New York Magazine WINNER! Outstanding Musical FringeNYC 2005 Follow F.B.I. trainee Clarice Starling as she uses her relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter to hunt serial killer Buffalo Bill. SILENCE! transforms the film's dialogue into a full-scale musical, complete with singing serial killers, songs with unprintable titles, and a chorus of tap-dancing lambs. Note - SILENCE! Contains strong language and is not suitable for under 15 year olds. ABOVE THE STAG THEATRE January 19 - February 28 TUESDAY ? SATURDAY 7.30pm SUNDAY 6.30pm
  5. Yes but "ebay" for goodness sake. It's hardly living on the front line now is it?
  6. Dear MM - the last time I queued at the National it was for Guys & Dolls. That was quite some time ago. But yes you can still queue at the National for day seats. You can also queue at the Donmar for the day seats. I don't queue because I'm really well organised but it's good to know that nothing is really "sold out". If you want to see the Alan Bennett play you would have to get up early and queue. But I was wrong ref Cate Blanchett and The White Guard at the NT - her husband is directing I think but she isn't in it. It's a shame because I saw her in Plenty and she was electrifying. All in all the best thing I've seen in the last 12 months was Streetcar at the Donmar. That gets my vote for theatre of 2009.
  7. 24 hours from Tulsa - Dusty
  8. Gawd help us indeed Woofie. Indeed. Is this the new fashion thread? Personally I'm rocking the layered look a la All Saints (but gone a bit extreme so not too far off the Michelin man) with Hunter wellies (navy blue), two pairs of socks and an oversized duffle coat in a fetching pastel blue. I don't have much movement in my arms and I walk like a farmer. The closest I've been to dressing like a woman this year is the 15 minutes I spent in the dressing room at the McQueens shop this afternoon trying on something in electric blue shantung silk and exercising my American Express. I've bought myself a cashmere cardi in shocking pink and a thermal vest. That's as feminine as I can manage until there's a thaw.

  10. Are the trains running from London Bridge OK?

Is there anyone who can give me some info on whether this route is running please.
  12. Hello - I'm still at work. Hoping to leave shortly and get the 176 from Aldwych to ED. Do I stand a chance of getting home before midnight?
  13. Sue - that was one mean spirited SOB bus driver. What goes around comes around but that's little consolation. Phone the bus company - you might get it back.
  14. I've got no problem with it. Anything to get through security faster and to make terrorism that bit harder.
  15. I watched a similar movie but it was about football and it was a group of girls.
  16. Me, home alone with the flu, watching Atonement on DVD, drinking Dr Pepper, but managing to stagger outside just before midnight to smash a pomegranate on the threshold.
  17. I have actually seen Kate live on stage. Not many people can say that because she hasn't done much live. I have male friends who worship the ground she walks on and I like to rub it in. A few years ago I was house hunting with my then boyfriend and we almost bought a house within spitting distance of hers. This random fact had nothing to do with the break down of our relationship. That happened because he was an utter prick and control freak and used to check the mileage on my car every day to figure out where I had been. I got wise to him.
  18. Happy - Stones (Keef's song or, as I like to call Keef's songs at a Stones' gig, toilet break)
  19. I Go Wild - Stones
  20. NO - it's giving me cancer.
  21. Daizie - how long since you quit? I quit 8 years ago and it takes a long long long time to stop wanting to smoke. Even now - rarely - mainly when I've had some booze - I'll still want one. I smoked for over 20 years and I will say that life is better without the fags. It's hard to stop though. I had a friend to give up with and it made all the difference to have someone to call and rant at. Maybe some of you ED smokers should get together and give up?
  22. Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting - Elton
  23. Ah, now I see what's happened. We've scraped the barel.

They are not smoking to annoy you or disrespect you; they are smoking because they are smokers.
