  1. Nabz, I still get to eat chocolate on WW. If you're breastfeeding you get loads of extra points, by the end of most days I still have enough leftover for a crunchie bar as well as something else :). That's why I love it so much, I never feel like I'm on a diet, and I serve the same meals up to hubby and kids too as it's not "diet" food, just normal healthy cooking.
  2. Chorizo fried off until starting to crisp, add chopped flat mushrooms, then some canned tomatoes and tabasco to taste. Right at the end use a potato peeler to add long strips of courgette. I use rigatoni with this sauce. Delicious with ciabatta to mop up the sauce and the obligatory glass of red.
  3. Another Magic Moments fan here, my two eldest children attended until they started at school nursery and my baby will go once she's old enough. A very nurturing environment with lovely staff.
  4. Completely agree ???? I don't mind where people are from, but it seems sensible for sellers to state their location if not in the immediate ED area. I found it amusing a year or so ago when I sold a phone on here, to have the buyer first ask where East Dulwich is, then moan about the fact it took him over an hour to get here :)
  5. I stayed the same this week, not upset as I know I did everything right, all of my pre pregnancy jeans fit, and I've been exercising - experience tells me that after 10 weeks of losing every week there had to come a time where it slowed down! Onwards and downwards, tricky week ahead with dinner party (which I'm going to point as have another WW coming along) and hubbies birthday, but feeling positive that I'll stay in control.
  6. Come for a coffee one morning SB? I can help. Not difficult at all to work out points, most of the time I work it out for the whole lot (stew for example) then allocate points for the amount I had (quarter of the pot). Very easy if you have access to the online resources.
  7. Here I am, kids in bed, technology back on :) I don't feel too guilty. Sure, I have my iPhone with me at all times, but I work hard during the day ensuring the kids are fed, watered, dressed, entertained etc etc so its not like I ignore them all day. As a child my parents had a newspaper delivered every morning and I remember them sitting reading it while we ate breakfast - so not really any different to me checking my sources of news online. And I agree Charlottep, generally as a generation we do a lot more with children than before. My Mum said it was very uncommon to go to groups with kids before the age of 3 when I was a child growing up in NZ. She admits there was a large element of us entertaining ourselves while she got on with housework etc. I'm lucky to have a cleaner, which frees up a number of hours a week I otherwise wouldn't have to spend with the kids. I didn't have a smart phone when my first two babies arrived, and have been so thankful for it with #3, middle of the night feeds are more bearable if you can read, or in my case online chat with friends in NZ who are in the middle of their day.
  8. I'm in denial of the fact that I'll have to drop points when baby Pickle starts weaning. Suppose it's wrong to refuse her anything but breast milk till she's 5 just so I can keep on with the chocolate and wine...? Good luck with the reduced points, I'm sure it will get the weight moving again.
  9. We are regulars on the 4 and 5 year old party circuit these days and apart from one lunchtime party they have all been either 2:30 or 3pm starts and 2 hours long. Personally I like the later ones as it means the party food doubles as dinner, which, if combined with being a drop off party, gives parents a nice break!
  10. I've always used sheepskins (being from NZ it's inbuilt!). Currently have one in my 3 month olds Moses basket which I will use in my Bee once she is out of the cocoon. I am pretty confident it will fold no problem with it on, as I currently fold mine with the cocoon on which is far bulkier. I've had Bowron stroller fleeces for each of my 3 children and used them year round. They are washable so if they start looking grubby it's easily fixed. I think they are around ?40, generally good deals to be found on Amazon or EBay.
  11. Fuschia, those caterpillar craft things in your recent party bags were fab (the ones with coloured sand), where did you get them from? My kids loved doing them and they've now got pride of place in their bedroom.
  12. Errrr, no, none whatsoever* *kiddizoom cameras don't count, right?
  13. I'll rent you my loft rooms if you'd like. Discretion guaranteed (for a price) and we live in the safe part of East Dulwich, away from the rogue drunks and the like that you run the risk of encountering down the Peckham end.
  14. That's absolutely shocking, surely they knew when they took your deposit that there was no chance?! I would have thought that in cases where it's due to the nursery having no space they should refund the fee. Obviously an easy way for them to raise funds.

    Curry paste is posh :)

    Who am I?

Don't question it, just enjoy the delicious chickeny-saltiness

    Who am I?

Otta - gravy, yes... but not potato and gravy. It comes in a pot like coleslaw, is the ultimate processed mashed potato with gravy on top. Cures a hangover, every time. And the kiwi KFC fries don't come with just ordinary old salt, we get chicken salt :)) Not worth questioning in terms of what's actually in it, but ooooh it's good.
  18. I think everywhere around here is good for kids (and Mums) - I guess part and parcel of bringing up kids in a big city is the fact they'll come into contact with a few nutters along the way. Welcome to the area and don't let one bad experience put you off.
  19. That's terrible. Make sure you stay in SE22 from now on, that sort of thing never happens here ;-)

    Who am I?

I feel your dilemma Worker - same applies to me (except female, 30ish). Although having also lived here a long time I find when I go to NZ I'm labelled "posh" due to south London/Scottish mixed up accent. Can't win. I'm with you on the KFC. Just wish they'd do potato and gravy... :)
  21. Another 2lb loss this week, chuffed to bits! I've done a couple of runs (including one last night once the kids were in bed) and lots of walking. 17lbs in total now, amazing how it adds up!
  22. Sort of - by bringing her downstairs into the light she wakes enough to take a good feed, then by changing her nappy half way through she then takes another reasonable amount before drifting back to sleep. Eventually I'll start doing it as a proper dream feed where I just lift her and do it in her room, but as we start the evening with her in her cot then move her to our room for the rest of the night it's easier to do it as we are for now.
  23. I think I have to admit defeat in the meeting up stakes, life with 3 kids and associated school runs and activities for the older ones makes it tricky! Middle daughter now does Diddy Dance on Tuesday afternoons. Hopefully you will all still be meeting come September when both of my big kids will be at school all day. Pippa x
