    Car washing

Dulwich Hamlet car park. Fast, thorough, not to pricey.
  2. Where abouts in ED?
  3. If it's the same as the old set up, it will turn left from FHR into Therapia Road, right into Scutari, right into Marmora and right again to the bus stand by the Old Cemetary. Then start it's route from the stop opposite Therapia.
  4. If you get any vacancies for godchildren giggirl, mine would love you!
  5. It makes me feel a little uneasy if I'm honest, I'm glad Bessemer don't do it.
  6. Of all the options I do like Drxysters best but that said, I don't think 3 months is that bad. The works will include the upper part of FHR at the juction with Brenchley Gardens so perhaps that is why there is a reluctance to divert up the hill.
  7. It used to be permanent until the mid 80's. The old Routemasters used to use that route to turn before the traffic lights were put in on the FHR/Woodvale junction. How long is it expected to last for?
  8. They don't do it at Bessemer. My daughter started reception there 2 years ago (did not attend the nursery) and we did all our paperwork at the school.
  9. Any of the 3 cemeteries or One Tree Hiil are always plentyful.
  10. Better keep our windows closed then, seeing as we overlook it! Good to see work finally happening though.

From what I've seen, I wouldn't class this one as good.
  12. Killjoys the lot of ya!
  13. Strike action. http://www.postoffice.co.uk/post-office-branches-strike-action#s113200850 Rye lane also affected, Crosswaithe Avenue open though and always quiet.
  14. They are Al&Em, it'd be a pretty wide kid that couldn't get through those bollards into the road! I like them, I grew up on FHR and it's nice to see it looking so cheerful.
  15. Well done first mate for not giving up on her, hope the RSPCA come out soon and she gets a happy ending!
  16. Just a guess but could it be that all the ambulances were on call so a helicopter could be there quicker? I work at Kings and while sometimes there are ambulances filling the bays and street outside A&E, other times there are none.
  17. Really pleased for you Gina, It really is a lovely school, my daughter (just finished year 1) is incredibly happy there, the teachers a are lovely - any idea who you have yet?
  18. They are not strict about uniform at all. They're happy for the children to wear any red jumper, any white polo shirt, any trousers, skirts, summer dresses etc. They're not fussy on bookbags either but the school ones are very good quality less bulky than a rucksack. Have you been offered a place then GinaG3?
  19. This is a very long time coming. I grew up on the Forest Hill Road junction with Brenchley Gardens and it's been a blackspot for as long as I can remember, my Mum showed me the plans the other day and it all looks pretty sensible, It will be worth 3 months of being put out if it stops so many accidents.

There's 2 in Sainsburys car park that you just plug in to. Sorry, no personal experience though.
  21. What Otta said. Mrs TP, There are 6 of us and I always either do waaaay to much or waaaay to little. I've not yet got it right.
  22. I didn't read anything offensive or vaguley racist in UncleBen's post, I'm just thankful for the secret ingredient, must get me some illegal underpants!
  23. I do hope this doesn't affect business, best curryhouse in the lane!
