  1. What a bizarre and vague first post rmarti and one that seems to be based on hearsay. I have a child at Bessemer, we are both incredibly happy with the school, my older children went to an ED primary school and Bessemer is the better school for us, we won't hessitate to send our youngest there too.
  2. I don't know where the local ones are but I'm sure Brownies start at 7, The younger ones go to Rainbows :-)
  3. I didn't read that as racial stereotyping at all, aside from you being the only one to mention they were Irish, the OP was just speculating that the men may have wanted to clear the land to live on it - why else would one clear the land, lie about it and then run from the fire brigade? If you know the man MirandaAsby perhaps you know what he was up too?
  4. Brilliant, all of it, lots of boring walls and buildings brightened up!
  5. I was there yesterday and met her, she chatted to everyone for some time and seems to have a genuine interest.
  6. ED Estate scarecrow on Dog Kennel Hill:
  7. JAGS has one, looks like the prices are around ?8-?10 dependent on age and whether you are a member. http://www.jagssportsclub.co.uk/fit-linx.asp
  8. Just saw this on Netmums and thought it may be of help to those offered a place at Langbourne, contains info re an open day tomorrow. http://www.netmums.com/southwark/noticeboard/view/can-anyone-tell-me-what-langbourne-primary-school-?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter+22nd+April+2013+-+Sites+O+-+Z+-+Southwark+-+300&utm_content=Newsletter+22nd+April+2013+-+Sites+O+-+Z+-+Southwark+-+300+CID_a2571bf8a0fc38dd83c5210752f2b034&utm_source=Campaign%20Monitor&utm_term=Can%20anyone%20tell%20me%20what%20langbourne%20Primary%20School%20is
  9. The other aggresive cat post is over 2 years old.
  10. Albrighton Centre on Dog Kennel Hill. Newly rebuilt, 2 sizes of hall to choose from, roof terrace if required, lots of parking nearby. The larger hall is ?25ph, the smaller hall ?17ph.
  11. There's only one member of staff I find rude day after day, but she's a she so not the same one. Aside from her, I've always found all the satff to be very helpful and friendly.
  12. It's worth bearing in mind too that if you really do want to do it, the court will pay all of your childcare costs for you. I've done it 3 times now and really enjoyed it everytime, hope you get the answer you want!
  13. I would like that very much, thank you souc1a.
  14. Beverley has lost her job? Oh no, that's very sad. Both of my now teeneage boys went there and she was such a good manager and brilliant with the children. Is she still there at the moment?
  15. My money's on The Ryedale bit of Underhill too. Flicking between Streetview and the photo, they are identical.

  21. Crossroads Cafe in Bellenden Road, Huge portions and friendly staff.
  22. Thanks for that e-Dealer! - The thread title has been changed. Sue, it would not include Sundays, by law a shop of that size can not open more than 6 hours on a Sunday. I also think it's a good idea in principle, There seems to be a bizarre notion that only drunks and druggies come out at night, 'normal' people sometimes need an all night supermarket too!
  23. Would be interseted to know what roads people live on aswell as what school places they were offered.
  24. Is this the Lordship Lane Co-Op?
  25. Crystal Palace fo sho.
