But unless Dualit have radically changed their policy in the last year or so, it is only the mega expensive top of the range models which have replaceable parts these days.

  3. Any answers to these questions?
  4. Is that the same Craig? The manager of the Peckham delivery office is Craig, but to the best of my knowledge he wouldn't also be heading up a separate investigation department?
  5. But the Dualit toaster with replaceable parts costs (or did do when I bought a toaster) in the region of ?200!!!! Their "cheaper" (still vastly expensive) models do not have replaceable parts.

Don't use Crocus. I always used to highly recommend them but sadly I had some really appalling plants from them a few months back. They refunded me, but they should never have been sent out in the first place, and there is no way I will ever use them again :(
  7. Probably cheaper to get a new one?
  8. This is obviously absolutely awful and I'm so sorry for the dog and her owner. I hope the owner of the attacking dogs can be traced. But ... Why are vets' fees so extraordinarily high?
  9. Should you not go to the police? And surely it isn't legal for him to just let himself into your flat without warning?
  10. Where abouts on East Dulwich Road did this happen? Violence won't stop if nobody does anything about it. I don't know how old your son is or who he was playing football with, but were there no adults nearby?
  11. Hooray!
  12. Thanks, we love your walks, really appreciate your posting them on here.
  13. Have a great Christmas everybody, and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year. xxx
  14. Could you not have asked them to lower the volume?

  16. I've got one. Fifty quid and it's yours :))
  17. I have a wind up doorbell. The only problem I have ever had was when someone overwound it and broke the spring, and it had to be replaced.

  20. edcam Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I still think it's ghoulish and could have been > related without pictures. It would have been ghoulish if somebody had been killed or badly hurt, yes. As they weren't, then I can't see the problem.
  21. edcam Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just don?t get why you would take a photo of a > crashed car under any circumstances, let alone > post it online. Because it had crashed after fitting into an extremely tight space, but mainly surely because it had crashed on the pavement outside a local school. And could have happened when there were children/other people standing there. I can't understand who you don't get it! I imagine the person who took the photos intended to post them on here when s/he took them. This is a local forum and I would have thought it was exactly the kind of thing which is of interest to local people/parents, who would otherwise probably never have known about it. And who can now push for safety measures near the school which evidently had already been asked for.

The Peckham office is a delivery office. Unless your battery was sent to an address in Peckham or East Dulwich, it can't have gone missing from the Peckham office as it won't have passed through there.

  24. I think Callows are a good locksmith, so what they have recommended is fine by me :) The lock has lasted at least the thirty years I have lived here with no previous attention, and until a day or so ago it was fine. Since the WD-40 it is as smooth as a very smooth thing. Don't think it needs any further lubrication (ooh missus) and Callows didn't suggest I needed to use anything else.
