  2. Yes there's a battery recycling box in the Co-op in Lordship Lane.
  3. ?98 a month? I've just switched suppliers from Flow to Avro and I'm paying ?57 a month for gas and electricity in a three bed terrace! ETA: So I've nearly saved as much as your fifty pound one off incentive in a month (except I haven't, because I wasn't paying anything like as much as ?98 a month with Flow)

  5. Better to go on a few comparison sites, put in your postcode and annual useage, and see who is cheapest. Then look at customer service ratings. Also, sites such as Money Saving Expert give cashback in some cases if you switch through them (but even with the cashback you are not necessarily getting the cheapest deal)

Also when the lights are red. Done that a few times. You just have to be very quick.
  8. James Barber was always very prompt and helpful in responding. James McAsh has only recently been elected but has already been very proactive in helping people on here, despite I imagine being on a very steep learning curve. I think you are being rather harsh.

  10. malumbu Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sue, I am sure that can find conspiracy sites > where the UK is bending over backwards to > accommodate Russian interests too. Which we are. That isn't the point, is it? And to the best of my knowledge the site I linked to is not a "conspiracy site."

  12. When we passed on Sunday there were families with children sitting outside in there. Surely this rubbish is a health hazard, particularly for the children. Couldn't something be done from that angle (I have no idea what)?
  13. DulwichLondoner: Surely the times of operation of a particular bus lane will depend on the traffic patterns during the day on that particular road/route? Which are quite likely to vary from road to road and depending on the time of day and direction of travel. Also, during those roadworks, the congestion was an absolute nightmare and I was more than once sitting on a bus near Denmark Hill station for a very long time because of vehicles going both ways trying - and failing - to pass each other. Gadge: You say "I think it's pathetic that you can not drop someone off at a station using a 10 second stop in a bus lane without receiving a fine." First of all, I cannot believe you could drop someone off in ten seconds. Secondly, bus lanes are there for a purpose, and consequently so are the fines. Once you start making exceptions to "drop someone off" you might as well not have the bus lane at all.

Somebody gave me one on the anti Trump march. I think I might buy a roll :)) And then there is this: http://www.fuckofftape.com/buy.php
  15. This is very interesting in relation to Trump's connections with Russia: https://secure.avaaz.org/campaign/en/shocking_truth_about_trump/?bLXOlab
  16. What sort of waste are you talking about? Surely anything which isn't recyclable would go to landfill in the green bin?

Are you sure that this was not "Community Hub"? Something quite different from "Community Pub" http://www.octopuscommunities.org.uk/our-projects/community-hubs/what-is-a-community-hub/
  18. There seem to be two threads on this? I've just posted on the other one ...
  19. The concrete blocks have been replaced with locked gates, haven't they? And I thought the car park was being used as a holding space for school buses so that they didn't obstruct local streets? There is a thread on this somewhere. So how did the caravans get in?

  21. Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > When will we find out what Putin has on Trump? An > election win maybe? Given what we know about Trump's character, I'm guessing it's more likely to be something personal which if it was publicised (ie any evidence for it) would make Trump look bad.
