  1. I too am very very sorry. You were always the one exception to my Labour vote, in recognition of all the hard work you put in, including on here, despite the undeserved flak you got from some quarters. Thank you, and good luck for the future.

The one with the questionable business model was Give and Take, now closed. Though maybe Clothes for Causes did as well.

  9. I think there is still "Woolly Mondays" at The Ivy House in Nunhead on Monday nights, but I don't know who runs it or whether you can just turn up. The pub would know, I'm sure! http://www.ivyhousenunhead.com/

You appear to have mixed up my post with somebody else's. Where on this thread (or anywhere else) have I said I pay for transport? I've put the relevant parts in bold, to help you out. And I don't recall ever telling you my age, but I doubt it is the same as yours. ETA: And yes, I have had a Freedom Pass for years and am well aware of how to use it, which I do frequently, thanks.

If he put fares up so as not to have to reduce services, I imagine you would be blaming him for that, wouldn't you?

You can vote for whichever three candidates you like, provided they are standing in your area, obviously! They could be from three different parties, if you wanted. ETA: Sorry, just seen Renata's post below. It's three in my ward, I thought it was the same everywhere, but evidently not!

Last year (amongst other things) Labour organised a demo outside the existing delivery office in Sylvester Road and only about half a dozen people turned up, including our MP Helen Hayes. Basically most local people just didn't seem to be that concerned when it came down to it.

Yes, that was probably what I meant. Sorry for any confusion! I assume coach drivers wouldn't need to store equipment, so could the containers be for builders? Has any planning application (or whatever) actually been approved yet? There was a public meeting about the future use of this land/building - last year I think? There is a thread about it on here somewhere. If memory serves, there was a possibility of some kind of community arts centre? (Chance would be a fine thing, I guess).

Maybe they are just large containers. Who knows what for. Will have a closer look next time I'm up in that direction!

  20. Cheners is not staffed by volunteers! It isn't a charity shop :))

Thanks James, but why would they need portakabins? There are also two portaloos, which I can understand if coach drivers are there for a long time, but portakabins??
