  1. I'm so sorry. Thinking of his family and friends.

So what's the story with the smileys then? :(
  3. MrBen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- Beautiful and almost enough to make me want to start watching TV again. xxxxxxxx I started watching TV again when my daughter gave me her PVR when she moved to a place where she had to get satellite due to poor reception. Being able to record only the programmes you are interested in and watch them any time you want is just brilliant. There was a thing on last week (I think) called something like Britain in a Day, where they gave loads of people cameras to film what they were doing on one particular day, that was wonderful. I've kept it to watch again. ETA: The Caledonian Road is the next programme in the Secret History, on this week. I'm interested as I used to work round the corner.
  4. You could try posting about this on the ED Nature Thread, which is in the gossip section. There was some discussion on it about dead bees in East Dulwich earlier in the year. There is a virus which is affecting bees, I think worldwide, but I have no idea whether that is what has killed the bees you saw. I've also seen a few bees on pavements, but happily have seen many more live ones on flowers!
  5. uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > She is a waste of space and I have first hand > experience- she did more for her pal Anthony > Gormless than she ever did for the ordinary people > of East Dulwich. xxxxxxx This is totally untrue. I have contacted her on various occasions concerning various topics, and I have nothing but praise for the speedy and efficient way she dealt with them each time. She also updated me as necessary, without being asked. I think she's an excellent MP.
  6. We have a gig at DHFC tonight and will display posters there, and also ask the club to keep the posters up as they have a lot of people going there both for the gym and for football during the week as well as weekends. I have downloaded posters from the Missing People website, is that the only poster there is? ETA: Because although it has a photo and Patrick's age, it doesn't give any other details eg about height and accent.

  11. Also how about charities which help the homeless, do soup runs etc - they are likely to notice if there is someone new on their patch? Is it St Mungos? Sorry haven't done the newsletter yet, but it will go out tonight.

    Bees swarming

dulwichbeekeeper Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > June gap low stores more defensive bees xxxxxxx Do you mean a gap in flowers? There's loads of flowers out in my garden with bees visiting.
  13. Very long shot, but I am sending out a newsletter today which goes to over a thousand people, and I will include links to the Facebook page. Will also put it on the Goose website homepage. Only takes one person to see it who might have some information. Thinking of you all.
  14. I hadn't even noticed it had gone! Have noticed the smileys have disappeared though, so I can't add a blushing one ....
  15. I can also recommend Peter Bennison. But I'd be inclined to phone the boiler manufacturers first as they might be able to talk you through trouble-shooting which isn't on their website help page. Would only take the cost and time of a phone call, so nothing much lost if you still have to get someone to look at it.
  16. Thanks for the Twitter info PGC, I will retweet. I have also posted to Facebook. If everybody else could do the same and encourage their Facebook friends to share it too, at least as many people as possible will become aware of it in that way. Terrible situation, hoping for a happy outcome very soon.
  17. the-e-dealer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Its not Faulty its fixed to rip you off - Do not > use! xxxxxx Surely if HSBC have put a notice up (it's displayed on the screen, not stuck onto it) then they would have sorted it immediately if it's "fixed to rip you off" rather than just leaving the scam in place???
  18. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I used to love the (very 80s) graffiti on Spurling > Road, opposite the EDT. xxxxxxxx Bit harsh to call it graffiti, it was a proper mural wasn't it? I really liked it too, couldn't believe it when they painted it over.

Is there a spefic > appeal page o. Facebook already? xxxxxx To repost it onto your own page you just click on the "share" button when you are on the appeal page. Hope that helps. Sorry, edited as crossed post. Happy to retweet but how do we find the tweets please?
  20. Help-Ma-Boab Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Happy days (and nights), clothed (and unclothed!) > in inside 72 xxxxxxx They had great burgers, too, I seem to recall.
  21. Yesterday there was a notice on the machine saying that it was faulty, but also on no account to key in your pin number, which I found a bit odd.
  22. I remember when the Drum first opened, it was before the smoking ban. It was unbearable inside, because there was such a lot of smoke in such a small space - well, it was unbearable to an ex-smoker!
  23. leenorris78 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > They are called "Small Blue". > > I went into the British wildlife place and they > have Kidney Vetch planted in there, the > butterfly's only food source. xxxxxx None of that in my garden to the best of my knowledge, so they must be on their way to somewhere else!

    Shard 360

How much does it cost to go up there, and when is it open? Anyone know?
