  2. Some of Norma Waterson's singing last night - absolutely heart to heart. Best thing I've heard for ages.
  3. And I am listening to FlapJackDavey's choice of music - OK so far apart from one weird track five minutes ago when I was forced to go to the kitchen to get more alcohol. Jon Boden at the moment in his Remnant Kings incarnation. :)-D

    Quiet evening in, Woof?

  6. If you have any connection with the EDT, you will know why I am unhappy with the EDT. I run www.thegooseisout.com. The EDT asked us to run gigs there, which we did very successfully, then kicked us out with no warning after a few months, leaving us to find a new venue for a gig we had already sold out for. Don't want to rake up old stuff, but you did ask.

  8. Yeh well they allowed sixty seconds at the end of the programme to discuss it, so not much time for anything other than a kneejerk reaction, but I agree with you in general.
  9. We should have an ISB Appreciation Society! ISBAS :)

ClareC Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > > genuinely dubious of > the Somerfield girls! xxxxxxxxx The original older woman who was there for ages became ill and had to go into hospital, I think, from memory, and since then there have been various other people who I assumed must be related. I wonder whether they have to get permission from Somerfield to sell in that place, and if so I wonder whether Somerfield knows any of the background, not that they'd probably tell anyone else.
  12. Explain what?

Guess no law against having a car but I > don't think I could afford to run one at the > minute. > xxxxxxx People who sell the Big Issue are supposed to be homeless. If they can afford to buy and run a car, then surely they can't be homeless, can they? All-Seeing, are you absolutely sure this is their car? How do you know?
  15. You're also nice and near Ganapati for excellent food :)

TheAllSeeingEye Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > Reminds me of the Big Issue sellers that hang out > on Lordship Lane everyday, then get in their car > and drive home at 5pm, b**tards. xxxxxxxxxx Is that true? The Big Issue sellers outside Somerfield? I find that a bit hard to believe, TASE. If you can convince me that it's true, they won't be getting any more money from me. The people who piss me off are the ones who sit outside Londis (opposite the Palmerston) on Friday and Saturday nights. What do they do the rest of the week? Haven't seen them lately though.
  18. So Scott - given all the comments on this forum, what are your current thoughts on the name?
  19. SteveT Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Some of the weeds brought in via compost bags are > the ones which when you touch them they spring > apart showering the place with seed. > xxxxxxx Well there's other ways of dealing with weeds than spraying them. The ones you mention are presumably annual weeds and hence easily controlled by hoeing etc.?

  22. From Facebook: Timothy Brown Check out Pears soap eBay or search out some wholesale suppliers. You still may be able to purchase the original Pears soap in bulk. I recently bought enough to last me 70 years. Just make sure that you are purchasing the original soap by asking about the ingredient list. One of the wholesale suppliers is JBK Trading, Inc., based in Weston, Florida. The website is www.jbktrading.com. I would recommend contacting Bill Curtis directly at [email protected] to confirm that you are ordering the older formulation soap. As of about a month ago he still had loads of the original soap on hand. 03 March at 13:50
