Wondering if you have read the rest of the thread? "Endure" ???

The graffiti in the skate park has been done by the skateboarders themselves, to the best of my knowledge.
-
They kept the door closed for some time for Covid reasons.

Other people who live in the flats have welcomed the skateboard park and community garden for the opportunities it is giving to (mostly young) members of the local community. Are you saying it (and the recent excellent play put on there, supported by the Arts Council) is not "meaningful"? How do you define "meaningful" in this context? Are you saying there was no noise when it was a pub car park and garden? Are you saying there is no noise from the traffic on the South Circular? I pass the skateboard park frequently, and quite often there is nobody there at all. I see you only have two posts on this forum, so it wouldn't seem that you are greatly involved with the local community yourself 🙄 Also, graffiti is a recognised art form.

There is one receptionist at The Gardens who from past posts on here seems to be renowned for her behaviour and attitude. I can't understand how she is still in the job. I changed my practice to The Gardens during lockdown, following a recommendation. I have no issues with the GPs, or with getting appointments (for anything potentially serious, I have always got one very quickly, and for anything not serious I am happy to wait). But my first visit there (the introductory session, or whatever it's called, with a nurse) nearly resulted in my turning round, going home, and registering somewhere else. I rang the bell. Nobody came to the door. This went on for a very long time. Eventually someone appeared, snapped at me "take a seat", and disappeared again. There was nobody else in the waiting room. Stupid me. I sort of thought that she would say something like "Oh, you are a new patient, aren't you? Welcome! The nurse will see you soon, meantime please take a seat." But no. Whilst I was waiting for my appointment, a very elderly woman on two sticks was kept outside ringing the bell for a very long time before the same receptionist eventually let her in. In retrospect, I'm not sure why I didn't just let her in myself. When I was there for a subsequent appointment, one of the other receptionists had to retrieve some paperwork to give me, which she eventually found filed in two separate places rather than all together under my name. When she mildly asked the first receptionist (the non door opening one) why she had not kept my papers together, she got the snapped reply "I'm doing my best." Surely the practice manager, GPs and nurses must be aware of this? People have been posting on here about it for ages, as well. It is just not acceptable for someone in this kind of role. I posted on here once before about this, and someone PMed me to say she had had similar experiences with one of the receptionists. She asked me to describe her, which I did, and it was clearly the same woman. BTW in terms of communicating with the surgery, I have found they reply quite quickly to emails, if you are able to use email.

I passed through Herne Hill recently, and saw a community notice board which appeared to be in pristine condition and with up-to-date notices in it. What a difference.

Bins on the pavement- keep on your own property!
Sue replied to Forevergreen's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm assuming you live in a great big house with a great big front garden and loads of space to store your completely non-smelly bins? I expect you have one of those purpose-built bin stores, and you employ somebody to wait around until the bin people arrive, who can nip out as soon as the bins have been emptied, and put them back in your luxury bin store? Please spare a thought for those who aren't so lucky 🙄 -
Crikey, I wasn't expecting so much interest! These are all spoken for now, sorry!

It's because he doesn't like interruptions when he is working. He has a mobile number which is on the door of his workplace in Pellatt Road, which he will answer (the call). At least he did me. Sadly he was abroad on holiday at the time 🤣 You have to book an appointment online via his website, or else put a note through the door on Pellatt Road. He also only opens that if he is expecting someone. Don't be put off, he is very friendly and helpful and knows his stuff.

Thanks Joe, I'll try that and let you know the outcome!

Does anyone know if Sainsbury's plastic recycling will take blue IKEA bags? I presume IKEA will take them, but I have no plans to visit IKEA in the near future, and I seem to have accumulated eleven of them 😮 Alternatively, can anybody make use of them? I will keep two or three of them, but I would like to recycle the rest!

We went to this on Sunday afternoon, having been lucky enough to get tickets. It was absolutely brilliant. The acting was outstanding. It was hard to believe that none of the actors were professional, and we were told that the whole thing had been put together in eight weeks. Excellent direction and costumes, too. We would happily have paid for the tickets! It was also great to see the garden at the back. What an incredible amount of hard work had gone into clearing a site which we were told had been covered in fly tipped rubbish, head high brambles and worse, and creating a beautiful and productive flower and vegetable garden. What a contrast to the way the pub and its grounds have been left to deteriorate over the years by apparently greedy and self-interested people only out to make money by building luxury flats for the benefit of a few. I suppose at least we may finally get the pedestrian crossing at that junction, so that the owners of the luxury flats can cross the road 😡

I am constantly having to log in, even though I ask the page to "remember me". Am I doing something wrong?
-
I've completed it, but why is only one response possible for how you "use" Dulwich? If you shop there, can't you visit friends as well, etc?
-
Mine did that recently and the hard drive had failed 😭 Try Christian at Netquest Consulting in Pellatt Road: http://www.netquest-consulting.com/

I don't think asking how someone charges is "cross examining"? Far better to find out in advance, surely?
-
You could try Celestial at the Goose Green end of Lordship Lane.

I just tried to delete that last post because I posted it twice by mistake. I was asked to give the forum mods the reason, which I did. Then I got a message saying that this forum did not allow posts to be deleted 🙄 Now I've got rage 🤣 ETA: But the post does seem to have been deleted. So now I'm just confused 🤣

Very Easy Dulwich? 🤣

That's absolutely appalling. Surely they must have some kind of portion control before they start making the thing? Surely that's a basic starting point for anybody selling food? It's wasteful of both food and money. No wonder their prices are so high. And if the person who made it was new, then they are not training their staff properly.

I had assumed that the gutter weeds/wild flowers were due to the council stopping spraying, for environmental and/or rewilding reasons?
-
I did...But here its mis-leading. On the board they have listed the option of a juice with 2 ingredients (I think I wanted 2 vegetables because as a rule I dont like sweet drinks..) no additions and from memory that was around £4.50. So how come yours was so much more than the price quoted? Did they add gold glitter to it?!
-
Or eat whole fruits. At least then you get the fibre. Assuming they aren't giving you the pulp as well in their juices
