Eh?

You called? Like Alexa, I listen once I hear the wake word 😂 Or were you referring to taking legal action against people obstructing the pavements of East Dulwich?

Does anybody have up to date details of opening times for this please, or a link giving recent details? I have some packets of food I'd like to donate, but I don't want to take it up there and find it closed. I have googled, but have found different information in different places online. Alternatively, is there another food bank in SE22?

😮😮😮 I can't believe I just read that. I agree with Malumbu, move it to the family section where it may be more likely to be read (and hopefully commented on) by local parents. My mouth is still open. Let alone the buggies, it is only common courtesy if two or more people are walking side by side for one or more of them to move if someone else needs to pass!

Now I'm intrigued to know what your original post was! Not sure that's grammatical ...

Take a screenshot (or screenshots) of the text on your mobile and then email the screenshot/s to yourself? Then print out the screenshot/s? Depends what you want the text for obviously. If you wanted to edit it you couldn't do it that way, you would have to type it all out again into something like Word, then print it out from there. Though I can print direct from my mobile to my printer. What is the format of the text on your phone? How did it get there in the first place? Ah. Just realised you might mean text as in text message, rather than text in general. In which case, email yourself a screenshot?

The best place for a sandwich in East Dulwich?
Sue replied to Katherty's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Heritage Cheese is excellent, with very friendly staff. Just for goodness sake don't go to Au Ciel next door by mistake (or on purpose). I don't know what on earth has happened to it, as their sign is still the same, but we had absolutely appalling service there recently - the staff didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing - and then we had to wait over half an hour for two paninis (they weren't busy). I know it was over half an hour, because the order time was on the receipt. When we eventually asked where our paninis were, we were told (in a not very polite way) that other people were in front of us and their toasties had had to be done first. Said toasties had been delivered long ago to tables next to ours. They had been eaten - and the toastie orderers had left - before we asked where our food was 🙄 We assumed that our order had just been forgotten 🙄 When finally our paninis arrived, there was no apology. They were ok, the fillings seemed fresh, but by that time we would have eaten anything. The whole vibe of the place has changed. Chocolatier and patisserie, as their sign still says? No chocolates in evidence, and a few cheap and boring looking cakes under glass, plus a generally uncared for feel. Can anyone explain this descent into awfulness? A look at online reviews also shows a change from previous glowing reviews to more recent experiences like ours. We ate there because it was a bitterly cold day and we wanted to be inside, otherwise we would have got the famed sandwiches from Heritage Cheese! -
Pair Of Great Spotted woodpeckers? Lucky you! https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/great-spotted-woodpecker Maybe the squirrel was injured, ill or already dead?

I rarely eat meat, but surely veggie haggis just isn't haggis, and as for vegan black pudding .... You could just have the neeps?! 🤣

Which is the best curry restaurant on Lordship Lane?
Sue replied to bh28's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I just assumed they were probably using the same kitchen equipment, which Ganapati had left. I don't think the menus are particularly similar? Being South Indian, they are bound to have dosas etc? If they were related to Ganapati, I would have thought they would have kept the name, as Ganapati has such a good reputation? We no longer go to Dulwich Tandoori, for reasons unconnected with the food. I agree Millennium is excellent for takeaways. -
Which is the best curry restaurant on Lordship Lane?

Also not on Lordship Lane, but I may be the last to discover that the premises which had been occupied by Ganapati's takeaway service in Maxted Road is now another South Indian takeaway called Malabar Feast. I haven't tried it yet, but their menu looks yummy (I picked up their flyer on the way past). https://malabarfeast.co.uk/ Though I'm hoping the photos on the website don't do it justice. Free delivery, minimum order £15. -
He is still around, just not posting on here 🦊

Well, this thread has taken a jolly turn 🙄

Yeh, GK ale is rubbish 🙄

Thanks for the information, but what a pain. I would have thought the heavy machinery could have shared the path with walkers?

1. How do you know it is a man? 2. Pugwash posted on this thread on Friday. There have been lots of helpful suggestions on here. You could private message Pugwash if you want them to reply specifically to you. I think it's a bit off to publicly complain about a lack of response to your post, however helpful. You said "if you live near Underhill Road." Perhaps they don't 🙄

Everybody knows what Wiki is, surely? And it's quicker to type. On another topic above, I see Screwfix have opened a branch in the Walworth Road, where surely parking would be even more difficult for builders than in Lordship Lane. Are they suddenly expanding all over the country, or is it just round here?

Chern Thai Cafe On Grove Vale - Revised Opening Hours

Is it? We often go out for Saturday lunch, and this would definitely be on our list of options! -
I haven't been able to delete this, and I no longer need the information 🙄

Strange Man Hiding in the Bushes - Peckham Rye Park

Hope he isn't living there, in this weather. -
So what is "proper South London"? I grew up in Streatham in the fifties, does that count as "proper South London"? It doesn't seem to have changed much. And at what point does a place that is "proper South London" become a place that is no longer "proper South London" ?

And me! We pay for gas and electricity according to how much we use, so how is water different?

I've been here thirty years, and vans of guys in riot gear with guns in Silvester Road is not what I would have expected either pre gentrification or now. So, does anyone know what it was about, because it certainly isn't normal in this area in my experience.

Suppose there isn't another bike nearby and now they've got a load of heavy shopping?
