  1. Oh, huge congratulations to the karter family! Picnic soon hopefully, katie -x-
  2. I love George Louis Costanza. Anyway, I'd never insult anyone with numbers in their name, now would I?
  3. katie = (6)
  4. I love Rolf.
  5. I recently had a culinary 'panic' as I couldn't find fresh coconut anywhere on LL. All the usual suspects were out of stock. After I had given up and stopped looking, I discovered by chance, one last lonely coconut hidden beside the oranges at the Co-Op. So KK either your guy had bought ALL stocks earlier or was having as much trouble finding them as I (but maxxi is right) :))
  6. What Moos and Asset said. And Mick Mac's second comment sums it up accurately if nothing else. PS 'Och', I wonder what tartan Frankito wore on the big day?

I think it was possibly to do with the fact that cars were becoming more popular back then? Although I'm not really sure. Its just that I have heard that apart from Beeching's review of it which led to massive cuts across many popular railway lines that cars were one of the major causes of threat to their future too.

DC is indeed right about home made roasts but sometimes nice to have a day off from cooking (and clearing up afterwards) > Keep 'em coming though. Did I mention the Old Nuns Head? Go and try it. I will pay your bill (minus drinks) if you didn't enjoy your meal :))
  9. Can anyone apart from strafer recommend anywhere Nette? If so, I was at the Old Nuns Head for Sunday Roast the other week, it was lovely. You can get really decent child-sized portions there (be warned - these are big enough for adults too!) Service was great as well. They also do excellent coffee and home-made cakes. Hope you find somewhere to suit.
  10. Yep, they do those in SMBS Nette, just along from the frozen smegma and goat's cheese ice cream. Alternatively, try the shop on Camberwell Green.
  11. Anyone know where to get hold of dried kashmiri red chillies? SMBS say they occasionally stock them but I've never seen them in there.
  12. my cats killer instinct >your cats killer instinct
  13. My appreciation of HonaloochieB > your appreciation of HonaloochieB
  14. If I wanted to question the Admin's decision about some perceived 'injustice', I think I'd be more inclined to send a private message than start a whole new thread about it. Having read their sh1t stirring posts, I'd say they got banned for being UDT rather than being linked to anyone else.

So get your digs in > while you can. undisputedtruth - you are making incorrect assumptions again. Why assume I had read Quids post pre-edit? I hadn't. So I'm afraid you cannot 'safely discount my observation'. I was concurring when I said that I now knew what Quids had meant a few posts up as it stands. As for 'my little joke turning out to be a damp squib', well, I didn't need to say anything funny. You did that all by yourself. I still find what you said to be amusing. As for my observations about you, they still stand as far as I'm concerned. You appear to have joined here with a lot of odd, pre-conceived ideas about this place. I don't think they are accurate though as I said before, you're entitled to your opinion but don't say you come on here to engage with people when you don't listen. Who cares why you signed up to the edf (not me) and why should 'MM go back and re-examine his posts' just because you've failed to understand. This thread has gone waaaaay off track*, I'm wondering why bother acknowledge and respond to your silly posts. You get back what you put in. So good luck with your engagement with others on THIS forum, I may be wrong but I think you're going to need it. To quote Quids 'I cannot be ar5ed' either. * apologies Chair

    100s

He (Laddy Muck) sounds like he hasn't yet come to terms with Jeremy's 10,000 win. So is resorting to foul play for the 100 on the 100...tsk tsk. van der poop poop indeed! (6)
  17. Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sod off to the Drawing Room. We don't want this > sort of trash in the Lounge thank you very much. Shouldn't your post be in the 'About the forum' section then? I thought the Lounge was for any topic that people wished to discuss - and that was allowed to go 'off-topic' into the bargain.
  18. Now I understand what ???? meant a few posts up. Fair enough undisputedtuth, you don't get it. Wasn't meant to be an 'in-joke'. You said on another thread that you liked to gain insight into the forum and that your posts are analytical. Hardly seems like it. I don't think you've judged this place or some of its members very accurately so far but of course, you're entitled to your opinion. I can't help that it made me laugh though. So we can all rest easy now that those pesky 'right-wingers are losing their grip on the forum', I suppose. B)

You don't get the joke? And you are using the dreaded 'c(lique)' word too. Oh dear. There's a very simple explanation that you and the thousand others you claim not to get it will understand. You only have to read a few postings of each of those forumites that undisputedtruth claimed to be one and same user alias (especially from reading their posts here in the Drawing Room) to understand that they are not the same person. So no secret 'insider' knowledge of warm beer and dressing up, its all out here in the public domain. *rolls eyes smiley* Edited to add: and forgive me for finding the claim that 'this forum is full of right wing propaganda' hilarious. Again, its all out there in the public domain. I lurked for about a week before I joined to get a sense of the humour and spirit of the forum. Don't agree with everyone's politics on here but how boring if we all agreed.

REF!!!!!!!!!! You bunch of cheats with all that Jameson's nonsense. Just wait till ???? is next online... :))
  21. In fact, laughing so much that I have lost the ability to cut and paste. Now where were we?
  22. I really didn't know that Labour opened up banking regs way more than the Tories ever did! And that must be why all parties seem to be the same now if they are all clinging to the centre to stay in power.
  23. 'another stubborn arse'?
