I agree - DJKQ has hit the nail on the head here. Bang on. I thought these videos were spoofs at first and didn't grasp that the OP was linking these gangs to the increase in crimes in the area. It's a great shame if the creativity of these children is not channelled in a positive way.

WTF to whoopie pies (2010) too. Where's the irrational rage thread gone? (6)

Fetish? You bet. Any 'trendy' area worth its sprinkles has a high cupcake factor nowadays. Ponced up fairy cakes really. What's up cupcake? (specially for huncamunca)
  6. Thanks for posting this JohnK - it makes for really interesting reading. I couldn't make out all of the writing on Sergeant Blackman's enlistment form though I do wonder how that piece of paper managed to survive? Its very sad to think of all those young soldiers from WWI :(
  7. Rather annoying that the world didn't come to an end yesterday. Now I have to do the ironing, clean the windows and get up for work tomorrow. Flipping evangelists can't get anything right...
  8. Hi Weegee, I will be able to come along for the earlier part of the evening only. See you soon and nice one for arranging this :)-D k x
  9. Hello Sean, hello Keef, hello everyone else.
  10. Nette - did anyone respond to your request? (I know you're relatively, erm, new around) but you may get a better response in the Wanted section of the forum? Anyway, I have PMd you as I know someone who may be able to help. Good luck - looks fab.
  11. puzzled, yes there is - Taming of the Shrew on 26th June I went last year and wasn't anywhere near the front, I did miss bits but enjoyable all the same.
  12. Did you enjoy a hot little number tonight Michael? Oh, and how was the curry?
  13. And so the new dance craze of Ayabassa sweeps Lenzie ... and Dave finds a new friend. Fags, Mags & Bags
  14. Why don't you all take it offline and discuss it by PM? :)) anyway, on a serious note, its a fab free resource and I don't think we can expect to be given notice in some cases. If the admin team could have given notice about this, then perhaps they would have. Its fairly likely that whatever amount they may have given, wouldn't have been the 'right' amount anyway, depending on how you use the forum.
  15. *Don't stop me ... now :))* Interpretative dance
  16. Does said Handyman use the Tradesman's entrance by any chance?
  17. I know this is heading to the Lounge but have to ask ... why did you email Ben? Are you, in fact, a 40-something French woman masquerading as an inquisitive, man of medicine here on the EDF? Ben - hurrah, bon chance (tu)
  18. There are so many Guardians left piled up in any given shop towards the end of the day, I sometimes wonder if that many people in ED do actually read it? Seriously. :-S
  19. I don't know where she is either but I have been reliably informed that there is space to store 122 private messages (tu)

Er ... I thought that they were complaining about the extent of cuts not going far or deep enough (than the ones that have already been proposed?) So not exactly campaigning for the status quo at all. Unless I have misunderstood.
  21. Sorry for being dim but how many are we allowed to have in total? Thanks. Edit - oops, scrolled back through the thread, I see its 300 :-$
  22. I'd say, at least, 40p of core ingredients if locally sourced, organic etc etc.
  23. *Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How much does one pay for re-fried vegetable > leftovers, otherwise destined for the scrap bin? There's an index depending on one's choice of accompaniment. (Beginning with sprigs of thyme then baby tomatoes and leading all the way up to poached quail's egg.)

Must say I didn't notice the difference when I first noticed them in India though the ones over there can face either way and aren't at an angle.
  25. And If anyone reading this thread has ever ordered colcannon but been served bubble & squeak, be sure to write in. Sue, I await the outcome of the recipe sharing with interest :))
