  1. Only met him once but thought he was very nice too.
  2. Ding Ding. Round 302. And we have ... (hey, who's next?) ... in the Blue corner!
  3. Y-es Mick Mac. Houses are only ever worth what people are prepared to pay for them. 2007 did not see a drop in property prices in CM16. Fact* * although probably less well-known than the Paper Cut Fact.

Could you string it out a bit longer perhaps ( but def before Christmas)? So far, I'm going with the Actress. You might get a nice pizza (with gourmet toppings) and a tumbler of wine thrown in your face. But at least its not deathly quiet. There are also some decent looking blokes in there so she might meet someone new. Alternatively, your girlfriend might be deliberately treating you like cr@p (in the hope that you are the one forced to do the dumping, or binning as you say). If that's the case I would suggest somewhere way more pricey, as long as you were paying.

  7. Curry nights, great. Things I have learnt: - on the scale of Bad Things That Can Happen To You, a paper cut is worse than attempting to cross LL. (I'm not convinced). - Dulwich Village is nearby and there aren't any curry places there. - forum members wear red in a variety of ways. - Veer Zara need to up the chilli content on their dishes with the chilli symbol. The lovely, smiley staff are (tu)
  8. I love the 'characters' and their postings, keep 'em coming I say. PS. Artful D - so that was YOU without your hat on the 12 the other day? :D

  11. How disappointing. I have just booked my ticket to Rio. And the weekend after, Great Auntie Augusta and Uncle Alfred are visiting and they can be quite demanding.

    Fun

perhaps it was really a 'he' and they forgot one of the letters? that could happen ... things aren't what they seem on here. Mrs Iris Parsleybottom

Hugh F-W on the EDF - great, hi there! Got a book planned for Christmas? :D Anyway, you're right that not everyone aspires to those other things, I think its just that it had to be pointed out that not everyone who is at the top of their game and stinking rich etc got there because they were already, well, stinking rich. I'm on Chapter 4 btw ...
  15. I love Essex - its really varied with lovely countryside and a fab coastline. Loads will disagree but I reckon there is a certain jealousy in SE England against the more successful aspects of the county. Epping Rules (tu) Harlow is pretty fucking depressing though (td)
  16. Well, I was going to say that a double dip recession is a real possibility - nominal GDP decline, weakening outlook in Europe posing a threat to the financial markets, policy tightening in China, waves of protectionist activity along with lacklustre growth perpetuating the UK job market etc but hey, I'm not that good at maths and I reckon there'd likely be two mechanics at that door :-S
  17. Please tell me I am not the only one on the forum thinking of those orange and cherry sherbets you used to get :-$
  18. I thought from the title that this was going to be about the wonderfully naughty, cheeky, mischievous (I'm a fan), Zippy, from the 1970s children's tv programme. Although I don't recall a character called bullsh*t, I seem to remember jeffrey and bungle were full of it. Guessing Axe may be too young to remember the programme? And I bet they didn't have smoked garlic, smoked this and artisan that back then ...

  20. Ha ha very funny and very clever Terry T esq. Not sure I believe your 'tall' tale though ;) PS. Spiffing confusing? it IS now. (although it isn't really).
  21. Def leave the building and go and find a relaxing bar or cafe to work in if you have a deadline to finish your writing today. If not, perhaps you could work in the evening instead when the builders are gone? Or ... forget killing your neighbours and go directly for the builders ?

  23. PPS. the Famous Five were much better than the cr@ppy Secret 7. And they had a dog.
  24. oh god the oldest trick in the book. er, no it won't confuse 'them'. but loving your work W**F. PS. what time is it? ;)
  25. So when are the next drinks karter ... ? ;) thanks go to georgia for arranging the drinks, I made it along to two events and at each one had a fab time meeting fellow people from the EDF.
