heya rosieh if you say you have been in this apartment for a while, would it be unreasonable (or do I mean unfeasible?) to ask the owners to pay towards 'refreshing' the paint work? Just a thought. Its in their interests I guess to keep it looking nice and also presume that they wish you to stay on there. I have not got a clue about paint other than the type you put on your fingernails but that's another thread ;) Best of luck and hope that you find a solution.

Sorry to be really dim but I cannot attach a photo to a post directly from my mobile as it asks for the url. I have only ever managed to attach photos to the forum that are already on the web. So do I need to send my photos to the web first (as I think the above posts are advising?) then click on the link? (I have no idea what size they are either) If anyone can confirm this that would be great, cheers.

flibbertigibbets is exactly right :) anyway, isn't this supposed to be about the germans and busty barmaids* of a certain age and something else ? * who no doubt prefer vibrant red lipstick

and I love the lipstick-I-like talk. (although sorry dearest DM, I am not liking the sound of that deep dark plum colour as I cannot wear those so its jealousy really) ;-) narnia - nude lipstick is a tricky one. It can be difficult to wear as it depends on your complexion. Some nudes have cool tones (blue/yellow pigments) and others are warm. As well as finding the exact shade, texture is important with this pale colour. Too chalky and you look like death; too glossy just looks wrong. Its a versatile classic that enables you to wear quite different colours on eyes/nails and (perhaps importantly for you?) your wardrobe and accessories. ;-) Its also great fun trying to find the 'right' one. Edited to add the missing word.

looking for good GP in east dulwich
katie1997 replied to kindaha's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Dulwich Medical Centre on Crystal Palace Road gets an endorsement from me, was apprehensive about changing GP when I moved to ED last year. Happy to say I'm very impressed with the equally good GP and service here. Have never had any trouble in making appointments and the centre staff have been helpful and efficient in my experience. Good luck. -
SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I see your friends take the same attitude to > punctuality that you do Katie. ;-) Sean, first, I laughed :)) but now I am :-$ yes, narnia, it is probably advisable to leave the house earlier than that to get to Hammersmith (yes, it was my fault he didn't have enough time to get the 185)

Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is there a quicker way to get there by public > transport apart from going into Victoria anyone, > please? narnia - I needed to know the answer to this exact question for last Friday morning for my brother and I was told by an old ED-ite that the quickest way by public transport would be via 185 to Victoria then tube. He ended up getting the train to London Bridge from ED then tube and made it in enough time for a 9.30 meeting, after leaving the house (nr the CPT) at 8.15.

Not many people appear to know this but Parmesan isn't vegetarian.

the minute I see those garish adverts for sports outside a pub, it puts me off ... I mean, couldn't they show footage of the Golden Era of Steam Locomotives on this big screen, some GWR xcvbf class 4-0-9s in their heyday ;) * gets anorak *

I wrote an essay on the composition of the moon once ( cheese didn't figure btw) ... I'm fucked if I can remember any of it now tho.

You'd think people would know what was truly vegetarian and what wasn't (esp restaurants, cookbooks and former mother-in-laws!) :) How many times do I remember being served 'vegetarian' noodles with prawns, quiche, ( You can pick the ham out dear, that will be okay won't it? My ex's mum asked me, a look of horror on her face when I said, no). Oh yes, has also been assumed ( when I was veggie) that fish and chicken is 'ok'! Er ... no! Hate all those 'fake' meat products you seen now tho. -
