Yes, lets ask them to continue as they were 'leaning on the fence' and 'just loitering outside' and 'let them get on with their day' e.g. by being verbally abusive and using threatening behaviour.

On a serious note, I think we should treat others around us as we'd like to be treated. So I sympathise with this, its not decent behaviour to lean on someone else's fence and cause a noise outside their home. I wouldn't dream of doing that whether I lived in a city or the countryside. To then make abusive and threatening remarks to the person whose home it is out of order.

Umbrellas? OK - I have consulted my picnic guru and the weather gods - this IS still on for Saturday afternoon. I'll be at Peckham Rye Park, in front of the cafe area, from 3pm onwards. All welcome to join. If the weather is not so good, or doesn't stay nice - we can always go to the Clockhouse instead. Hope to see you there* *unless you have a valid Doctor's note (which will, of course, be treated with the strictest confidence) PS. might bring some balloons/giant sunflowers just in case you miss me B)

I meant in the smack over the head with a frying pan sense. Tom & Jerry Style. Kind of.

Sorry in advance for the unimaginative fisking - yes I am with you, I like that concept too. I haven't read that one so thanks for the tip. > But for all her formerly Rubenesque ways, no > sybarite she. Thats absolutely spot on! I wonder if she even tastes the food. Nigella on the other hand, would be very up for that!
  12. Malibu and pineapple. Ugh. Pink Gin. Yum. Dark Rum & Milk ;-) PS. I thought it was pernod and black?

Ted - you've captured a very important distinction here now I remember that my mum actually wore these in the 1980's

  16. SCSB79 - very good question and hope someone else has a better (nearer) suggestion. So this is probably the wrong direction you were looking for but... if you can be bothered with the hour's* drive to Epping in Essex (parking probably best at Loughton or Theydon Bois), there's great cycling routes around Epping Forest. The countryside is lovely and there are gentle routes (no canals though). *depending on time of day

Mick Mac - thats WAY too much. Personally I don't rate NPower as had less than positive experience with them in the past. You might want to check out the energy saving trust - tips for reducing energy bills Hope this helps! Although, I disagree wholeheartedly on "energy-saving" lightbulbs*. They're fucking useless and best avoided in my opinion. *I blame Tony Blair.

Tbh I never really understood what Gnasher was saying either. I am glad I have finally found the opportunity to 'come clean' about this. Mutley Rules OK. Yeah. How can one ignore a glorious, fluorescent, green-coloured dog - IN REAL LIFE - amazing or what? I'd love your perspective on Ren & Stimpy ;)
