  4. Don't they sell turkey twizzlers in waitrose or M &S? What are these waitrose nuggets the thread title refers to anyway? Ps. HonaloochieB, some light dusting duties and plant watering vacancies coming up in the autumn if you're interested? Do let me know.

SS you seem to know a lot about ED, did you live here before you upgraded to 'Sydders'? Or is all your local knowledge taken from this forum? Is the 'Sydders' forum a good one too? > We, meanwhile, shall content ourselves with our > soon-to-be Waitrose AND our M&S Simply Food...oh > woe are we!!?? > > Can we have your Iceland?:)) Oh what a shame you mean you don't have an Iceland? My oh my :)
  6. I like chocolate buttons best (even better if they have been in the freezer for a while) mmm
  7. so just throwing this out here...what would you do (ladies) if you discovered that your new boss was a 'starer' even when the top is not low cut? Is the solution to wear a really low-cut top as they might try better to avoid looking? or maybe not?
  8. me too, you could see those dollar signs in his eyes...and then trying to arrange a date! he has such bad taste but that's what's so funny.
  9. Oh-kay I only worked with a david beckham lookalike except X was a bit shorter I guess. It was in SE Asia at the time and hilarious when he got 'recognised' (well except for poor X who hated the constant attention and comparison)
  10. yes good job you locked it otherwise people might be tempted to post their claim to fame. (I have previously worked with David Beckham)

Did the previous government not have enough time in power to address the issues?
  13. i have no shame - shoes ( not boring flat ones either) and more shoes also, coffee, shoes, radio, shoes, newspapers, shoes, marmite, shoes, chillies, shoes, make-up, more shoes etc
  14. precisely - which enables some people (who aren't being extra careful) to travel along that road as fast as they possibly can, getting up to speeds of...oh, lets say about 90mph now since its a guess. I'm not sure people wanted a comparison between Barry Road and other B-roads in London, more the fact that this particular spot is local to them, they are worried that its getting pretty damn dangerous and perhaps something should/could be done, if possible.
  15. KillaQ - I agree with what the others say about this junction, I use this at various different times most days. I don't think those speeds are an exaggeration at all, in fact, it doesn't even have to be late at night to notice this either. Its a very dangerous junction - as are others of course - but as the thread was started about this one, I share the concerns of the original poster that the likelihood of a serious incident here seems increasingly likely.
  16. Louisa, do you work for Waitrose by any chance? Well done. Btw, sydders, twickers etc but... putters!? WTF?! this has been entertaining *nibbles on fried chicken with a side helping of monster munch (pickled onion counts as veg, yeah?)
  17. waynetta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 'Relieve the pain of Diarrhoea' I'm sure the solution is in the 'top tips' thread somewhere...
  18. I hope no-one on this thread is trawling the internet for material...(PM me if so, I need some pointers) *now what was that one about the man who says yes?*
  19. omniprescient Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Don't waste time by making up your own top tips - > simply trawl through the internet and use other > people's > > (you all know who you are..) the way I see it, this thread provides an essential community service for the busy people of ED* who simply don't have the time to trawl through viz....er, the internet thingy for such quality tips. we can't be expected to provide citations for all of our material, we'd never get any 'real' work done now, would we? *thats ED, not "Sydders"

  21. SHOPPERS - When buying grapes, take one grape to the till. When it is weighed it won't register on the low-tech unsensitive scales so you will get it for free. Repeat this procedure a hundred times or so, and hey, presto! You have yourself a free bunch of grapes.
  22. waynetta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yeah, wonder why the thread I started about famous > people doing ordinary stuff has been locked? you should have added "and.....new Waitrose opening in [insert nearby place name] soon" to the thread title > 'I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for > those pesky forum administrators' :))

LOL) no I'm not. someone else is impersonating me again (and not very well either I might add, tsk)
  24. 1997 for me please woof (might as well eh?) btw, there's nothing in the small print to say what prize we will win if we pick the lucky number.
  25. sheesh, those are the best kind of picnic skills anyone can have (tu) :)-D
