I think Georgia was originally a Brazilian colony founded by C?ndido Mariano da Silva Rondon around the end of the 16th Century. So basically Georgian/Brazilian, same difference, although the Brazilian girls are slightly more attractive. Ever had a 'Georgian'?
  2. The Pianist is a great film. Just reminded me of The Piano Teacher which would get my vote too, although it didn't get a mention in TTT French Films.
  3. _ O _ _ R _ _ _ L _
  4. Don't be intimidated CitizenED . . . but if you are going to make a change perhaps you'd reconsider Castaway :))
  5. Amelie said - "I have not been to the US, and never to New York, for several years." Buy Mastercard with pin No. from friend. Book ticket to NY and hotel on your own card. Withdraw $500 from six cashpoints. You get free trip to NY and friend is reimbursed by bank. Priceless
  6. Did it hurt?

Spare a thought for the Georgian Women's Beach Volleyball team that thrashed Russia yesterday: "It has been extremely hard for our team to compete here in Beijing because their minds have been on what is going on back home," said Akhvlediani. "It is far better to have contest in sport than anywhere else." And did you know that the bikinis are restricted to a maximum size in the rules despite a T-shirt and baggy shorts being far more attractive.

Amazed that a piccolo country like Italy are currently 4th in the medals table. Must be something in the pasta. Ancora!
  9. Hear hear PR. As a result of the film list there are a few I've not 'scene' that have popped up on other lists that I'm now going to check out. *Picks up bottle of Jose Cuervo and Bad Taste DVD*
  10. Cheese, strawberry jam, peanut butter, S&V crisps. Crispy bacon as an optional extra.

  12. Looks like one of these
  13. I enjoyed Crash a lot because I found it both poignant, thought provoking and funny. Tackling the subject of racial stereotyping and addressing the masses is bound to be a little light, exaggerated and cliche ridden but I think overall it got the message across. Sandra's character portrayal hit the spot perfectly although her particular story ending was a bit predictable. I agree Matt Dillon's was the best performance, but with so many connected stories and less than two hours I don't think there's much time to build as much depth in the characters as you'd normally like.
  14. Definitely funny. And most disappointing for me was 28 weeks later.
  15. Un Chien Andalou - saw that in the days before colour TV and that scene also stuck with me and started my fascination with Salvador Dali. Most laughable horror has to be The Evil Dead.
  16. Impossible to condense into Top ten but here are a few that come to mind: Jacobs Ladder Life is Beautiful Cinema Paradiso Chasing Amy Dr Strangelove City of God Sideways All Quiet on the Western Front Crash The Usual Suspects
  17. Don't forget the black flat surfaces ;-)

  19. Rico, as a private landlord, do you have a clause in the lease insisting that your tenants refrain from sex beyond the bedrooms in case they stain the carpet, wallpaper or sofa?
  20. Picassa is free and pretty easy to use if you just want simplicity. That way your auntie can print locally without worrying about exchange rates.
  21. I remember aged about 10, staying up to watch Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, starring Bette Davis whilst my parents were out partying. I was so freaked out by the scenes with the severed hand and axe that it took me ages to pluck up the courage to go to bed without turning on every single light in the house. Even now the memory of that film still makes me shiver. I'd probably laugh all the way through it if I saw it now.
  22. *Bob* Have a look at Flickr. It's a global service. You can add friends and family as contacts so that they can download pictures directly from your account or order prints via Flickr. It's free for a limited 100mb per month but for a smallish fee you get the premium service with full functionality.
  23. And there you have it. The stereotypical 'bitchy' image previously exclusive to gay men has just been shattered.
  24. Good post coachkelly. Your observation that "I think background and circumstances also contributes a lot" is bang on. Btw Tony would you consider mixed race people to be superior at everything?
  25. Are you related to THE Nico who once had a restaurant in LL? Could do with something else up the Plough end.
