I was thinking of setting up a drugs workshop for the uninitiated in a small side street of Coldharbour Lane. Sadly the thought of Maurice high on crack has put me right off. I'm open minded about whether or not all narcotics should be legalised. I've seen both sides of the drug culture and need to be convinced that the resources currently being used to stop the black market in drugs can be usefully deployed to educate people of the real dangers and support those that do become dependent. Sounds like a good idea but knowing governments it would just become another revenue generator. The government has always been involved wiith drug dealing. Today it's Alcohol, Tobacco and licenced Pharmaceuticals. In the past it was Opium.

It's going to be difficult for me before Xmas too and would prefer Jan. Is it Curry Cabin next or perhaps Pistachio Club?

Maximay I'm also really sorry to hear that you lost your son. Nothing can ever take away that pain and I couldn't begin to imagine what it must be like for you. You're very brave being able to talk about it here. I lost a close friend and a family member to Heroin OD's and to be frank if it wasn't Heroin they would've taken their lives in another way because of the problems they had and how they became detached and saw their own plight. I hope that over time things get better and that you will find some positives like the beautiful grandchildren he gave you.

Can't add much more to the above except to say it was an excellent night with a great meal neatly wedged in between copious amounts of alcohol. I always enjoy the food at TN and last night was no exception. I had a Dal Shorba to start which had a smooth creamy consistency and a subtle kick which PGC was able to savour too. I also ate half of Sean's Onion Bhaji, first I'd eaten there and though tasty and crispy, a little on the small side (Shallot Bhaji?). My Palak Gosht Handi was just as described by MP and being a big fan of home cooked Roti, found TN's quite bland. I sat opposite UltraConsultancy and Mark, two very interesting guys (I might have to take up reading books) and next to Sean who smelt akin to a Mexican Brewery. Friendly service as always, ambient atmosphere and no flock wallpaper. Rating: 8/10 Liqourice was fun although it was quite surreal chatting to a bunch of guys holding cute little mocha cocktails. Hmm, probably explains why the local totty gave us all a wide berth. Great night, thanks again Mike. (Missed DM)

I'm amazed at the extraordinary super-hero like powers on display here. The ability to read a bit of sleaze in the press and instantly sum up a person with such authority and without meeting or talking to them is surely a gift. Amanda fucked up but none of us were in her shoes when she made her choices, so how can we judge? If you ever have the fortune to meet Amanda and whether or not you agree with her politics or religious views you would surely agree that she's an extraordinary human being for having turned her life around the way she has. She has more balls than most of the people here who hide behind their keyboards and considering the pain she's been through a fantastic sense of humour and humanity. As far as smack heads go, most people know that an addict's emotional/psychological problems came before the drug which then becomes the crutch. Before blaming the dealers that supply a market, look closer to home.

IMO religion is just another word for hypocrisy. Take the CofE for instance. Wants to be exempt from the law regarding discrimination of gays yet in the same breath they tell us only god can judge. The only religion that's ever made any sense to me is Budhism, partly because god b*ll*cks not included.

No *Bob* it was way before that but you're very close. I'm sorry, I can't reveal anymore. Too much shame - and before you ask, no I wasn't personally involved in the "scandal".

Apparently there are no images of Allah. So how do Moslems know he doesn't look like a teddy bear?

CWALD don't worry too much. A story about one of my siblings and the Royal Family did a front page and 5 more in the NoTW many years ago. I was dreading facing friends and colleagues the following Monday morning. Said sibling left the country while things cooled down and it soon blew over. People have short memories unless you continue to fan the flames. Lay low, don't comment. I hear Sudan is nice this time of year!

Anyone from the EDF been to see it yet? Brendan, you do write good reviews!

Anyone watch Britz a few weeks ago? Thought that was interesting. Contained added Spooks too. -
Just imagine. A Japanese deigned bus that self flushed, showered down and blow dried at the touch of a button! But could it clean round the bend?

They do a great steak pie which goes down a treat with a Guinness. I think they should add fresh Oysters to the menu so that I can sit and have a drink whilst I slip them down. Perhaps the Oyster stall from the EDW could set up outside?

Having young kids really changes Christmas and New Year. In a good way. Although I do miss the old days of getting completely trashed on a nice cocktail of chemicals and alcohol with anything hardcore as the catalyst. No it tends to be a nice dinner with like parents, a few glasses of something expensive, something chilled murmuring from the speakers and in bed by 1am latest. Can't wait till they get a bit older.

Was the pleb OK ? I was once horrendously unwell on the tube. Almost blacked out on the train but managed to hang on till I got to Baker St where I threw up on the tracks in between the carriages. Nobody bothered to help or ask if I was OK. Guess I'm just a pleb! Makes you sick dunnit?!

Don't like series like Spooks. It's based on that Hollyood technique of building on our fears that all middle eastern people and citizens east of Vienna are baddies and we're all whiter than white as we fight the axis of evil thing in the name of freedom, democracy and Christianity. Utter balderdash!

Battlestar Galactica was great but it never quite lived up to the pilot episode. You used to be able to get it for free on TV-Direct.com but someone's pulled the plug. I think I'll have to go out and buy The Wire as all attempts to download in HD quality have been unsuccessful! I don't watch a huge amount of TV these days but when I do, it tends to be progs like Ramsey's Kitchen nightmares, Question Time and Top Gear (hence my newborn is called Enzo). Of course the other option is to hunt down some nasty terrorists with the PS3 online! -
MP, could you add me to the Thursday ED Curry club please, if there's still room at the table. As this is the inaugural dinner, will the lovely Dulwich Mum be doing the after dinner speech? Can't wait!

Thank you all for the kind words. "Does he have a Chelski babygro yet?!" He certainly does! "Is it just me or is anyone else noticing the fertility powers of the forum?" You'll have to ask Keef (next??). This one was conceived pre my knowledge of the EDF. "Many congrats - perhaps he could be named Sebastian Norman Urquhart Bertrand" Actually we were thinking something more along the lines of Slosher Nero Ultra Bob. Before I forget, a really appreciative thanks to all KCH staff present and behind the scenes who were outstanding. I'm off back to Kings. Hope to catch up with you all soon :))

Just thought I'd share with you the news that another addition to the Lozzyloz tribe entered this world at 4.27 am. It was a close call. Arrived at KCH at 4.00 and he was out within half an hour! No name yet, but both Mrs LL and baby are doing well. Think I need a hot curry and a cold beer now! :)-D
