  1. Wearing a black shirt and saluting not a warm, fluffy image Bon3yard. Must try harder.
  2. Help for entrepreneurs seems an oxymoron.
  3. Ellie, you might get a better response in the Lounge - they can treat serious subjects with respect in there (most of the time). Some of the reasons a person self-harms is to relieve an intense pressure - whether that's low self-esteem, or perfectionism or a whole raft of causes. Treatment could be successful through CBT.
  4. Grodon is a mroon
  5. Welcome to my world!
  6. Quids, have you read Zola's La Debacle?
  7. The main drag is East Dulwich Road too.
  8. Stop quibbling Brendan. You do realise that under my criterion, you are poised to become Harriet Harman?
  9. I'd vote for M.Man - how could you not vote for one of the few who understands Duckworth Lewis?
  10. Good little match tonight, what? 2-0. Only trouble is, I've lost count of how many play-offs we've failed at.
  11. I could do a summer evening - sounds deliciously decadent.
  12. My little one had something similar a few times, usually after a bout of tonsilitis. It was a strep. rash or scarlet fever which is not alarming as it sounds. Antibiotics quickly clear it up (it's not Beth in Little Women anymore!)
  13. Of course I did - allow me a little poetic frustration.
  14. Bummer - there was a good meet at Detling yesterday. I'll have a look for some others not too far away.
  15. Potential game on. England 107 for 3 chasing 419.
  16. Unfortunately, one of the posters on here is called what my friend used for her girls: minkey. Everytime I see a post from him/her, I can't help but snigger. We used 'noonie' for when my daughter was very little, but now she's a teenager, it's all very clinical.
  17. Thanks for the tip Quids - owe you a drink. Cheers to the noble D_C who brought benisons and filthy lucre to soothe my brow.
  18. Well my giddy aunt! I've just woken from a nap - my head is truly in a vice. Missed all the bally hoohah. David, I think I love you.
  19. I shall read with interest. I read many US blogs and literature and some of their usage drives me mad. Took me eons to work out what cilantro was!
  20. I can't believe that I have been out and about today in Peckham and ED in the only places that don't have betting shops. I now have a raging headache and can't be arsed to walk down to L.Lane. I would have put my fiver on Imperial Commander, so if he wins I shall have a hissy fit.
  21. 10 is only lower middle age. Puissance won by an 18 yr old. Think Steve Redgrave.
  22. Fair enough. Though I come from the other angle - I'm slightly potty about horses so that's what drives my interest. I find the whole trainer/jockey stuff fascinating too (but that could be as a result of reading too much Dick Francis/John Francome/Jenny Pitman ouvre.) Plus it's quite a lark to observe a horse in the paddock and pick it on looks/conformation alone rather than looking at form - that method has got most of my wins.
  23. Does your dictionary not use hyphens?
