  1. Elves are real. What else would you put your ooks on?
  2. End on a six. Pure class.
  3. Morgan on his hundred. 10 runs to win, 9 balls. V. exciting.
  4. Who will have the Girl Pipers?
  5. 9 overs left, 56 runs required. Will we do it?
  6. Could I just comment, before this witch hunt goes much further, that I have always found Steve to be charming and helpful. He was also very encouraging to my daughter when she worked at the shop for her Duke of Edinburgh award. That doesn't denigrate what happened to localmamma and that issue clearly needs to be dealt with, but I am very perturbed by the total slur on his character that has gone on in these pages.
  7. If you're desperate, I'll snog you in Paris. Failing that, I can teach you to ride a bike.
  8. Chipping is carried out for free by places like Celia Hammond and Blue Cross, and TJMP regularly advises on this forum when free chipping events occur.
  9. I think a chip and a licence and compulsory leash on public roads are reasonable, the rest would be hard to enforce. It was never a big deal to have a dog licence in the past.
  10. Didn't Alleyns just have a new theatre built? Perhaps that may be hired out for community events.
  11. Garnished with locusts?
  12. Vestigial, like your brain. x
  13. Least I'm not a ha'pence short of a shilling.
  14. I'm bored.
  15. Then I've been lucky for over twenty years. I think you are being a trifle sensationalist.
  16. One curious byproduct of the match this afternoon: I was listening to it on Radio Scotland and left it on that station - have been listening to pipe music this evening - strangely calming. Makes me yearn for a scotch however. Must resist.
  17. Somewhat sheltered are you emu?
  18. Snap!
  19. Tidy six wicket win.
  20. Dusting off the flutes.
  21. 5-0 looking a bit ropey.
  22. Pay attention, Karter: The Wishing Well in Bellenden Road is reverting to The Victoria.
  23. Strikes me as a bit pitchforkish response on here. If you want to change someone's ignorant behaviour, ganging up in an offensive fashion is not the best way. Please take into account, some of the volunteers employed have mental issues which will not be helped by a group of militant mothers storming the shop. Continue with a written campaign to the Head Office, by all means and allow them to reflect on the incident and take the appropriate behaviour.
  24. Happy Curday.
  25. This is probably the kiss of death, but I liked it. Even if I didn't, I would vote for you for such a winsome request. Good luck. [Watch your enunciation - 't's at the end of words!]
