  1. If you can face it, Ikea have little strings of little lights powered by a little battery pack (about 1m long). Woolies for everything else.
  2. Die Warnung. Das Spielen mit Trollen f?hrt zu imaginery Freunden, der verboten wird.
  3. Be careful what you wish for. I live opposite a primary school and our road has complete speed bumbs. First, it does not deter the majority of drivers. Secondly, those who do slow down, immediately speed up after the bump with accompanying revs/sound nuisance. Not much fun.
  4. If I can get extra 26 hour shift at t'mill I might - otherwise after christmas. Bon appetit.
  5. Is it available for carol singing?
  6. Johnny - you're not married to Fanny are you? Sounds yummy.
  7. Rather - especially as the English is somewhat stilted and lacks American vernacular and timbre. For someone who has never been out of America, it does jar. edited for poor English!
  8. That's a trifle seedy Jah.
  9. Don't start on gorillas again Brendan - this could get blasphemous!
  10. Is that mafia-speak Nancy'smum? And Keef - what about bringing the trumpet so we could at least all start on the same note?
  11. Does the CPT need a plongeur luddite?
  12. Glor - or -or - or - or - or - or - or- or -or - or - or - or - or - or - or - or - or - o-ria Is there a local charity we could collect for? Anyone have a donkey? The best carol singing I experienced involved taking a donkey into a photographers gallery and singing at their very merry party.
  13. This is the forum id used by her office, you could PM her direct: TJMP
  14. Dear Michael I fear you may be turned into this: http://www.thefoodhall.es/images/FRAY_BENTOS_CORNED_BEEF.JPG
  15. Well, I probably wouldn't have gone near curry to my dying day.
  16. Brilliant and thoughtful post Kerri [not that I agree with everything!] The web link I posted earlier in this thread shows the disturbing process of abortion and discarded body parts - very revolting. However, not to detract from the seriousness of this, I can't help recalling when I see Marie Stopes' name that acerbic quote from Muriel Spark: "I used to think it a pity that her mother rather than she had not thought of birth control."
  17. Perhaps it would be better to spend the money on grammar lessons: "not I". Sorry - still in bad mood from yesterday.
  18. Christmas Eve is my preference - down on 12th Night.
  19. You are right chaps, the irony did not escape me - I thought at the time it would have been quicker to make it. I guess it will be even nicer if Sean makes it for me!
  20. Sublime - I do admire you. My Navy Seals have departed - we are a little short on the male department. Shall I call my dear friend: http://www.tpr-world.com/graphics/carygrant.jpg
  21. I think this will do http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/images/h3/h3_C.I.63.36a-c.jpg
  22. Wonderful - I picked up some oysters earlier ...
  23. Can't find the rant thread which if I could I would rant about not being able to fathom the search function on here (sorry Mark, bad mood). Indulged in fat, juicy steak tonight - a v. rare occurence. I like it accompanied by bearnaise sauce. Rose's didn't stock it (though they have other relishes). Cheese Block didn't stock it, though they kindly popped to the store a couple of doors up to see if they had it, they didn't. Somerfield didn't have it. Assistant in Green & Blue looked at me as if I was a moron (no comments please). Finally, ED Deli had a miniscule portion for ?2.40. Point of this rant: it's not an odd request - it's a classic accompaniement to steak - should have gone straight to Sainsburys! Long live big chains - what's the point of lots of poncey shops if they don't deliver?
  24. *Pops in* Sweet, DM, may I be so bold as to point out that you have a greenfly stuck between your teeth? *ducks*
  25. At least adults with invisible friends know how to spell Eric Burdon correctly.
