  3. Silent Night, Holy Night Not a car nor plane in sight; Trains aren't running Nor is the bus - Once a year it's such a fuss. Skid on lethal streets, Skid on lethal streets.
  4. How could I go to bed, too exciting. 245 all out. What a fantastic start - I hope their innings don't fall as quickly.
  5. 207 for 7. After those two quick wickets, my job is done and I'm going back to bed.
  6. Well, 107 for 4 is worth getting up for. I hope they keep up the momentum.
  7. Maybe one of those life coach bods would be of more help?
  8. tommy - try this council website: find your councillor
  9. Eee - you were lucky. Grey Coat Hospital make no such concessions. Daughter been walking to and fro.

  20. Some leaflet distributors are adorable - particularly the one who was the first person I saw when I ran out of my house in the middle of trying to attach a large shelving unit to the wall, and willingly came into mad woman's house to help hold it in place.
  21. Not even the main pavements (East Dulwich Road by Tescos) have been gritted (or at least hadn't by lunchtime). The only official gritting action I've seen was in Strakers Rd Car park by the cafe.
  22. I haven't seen a gritter trolley, but when I came back from dog walk, someone/council?? had spread sand over the section I mentioned earlier which is a huge help.
  23. James, an observation about icy roads: the raised red paviours by the school crossing seem to be causing an inordinate amount of bother for cars. Tarmac seems to allow grip ok. Perhaps these areas in the district could have priority gritting?
  24. If you are driving, please remember to select a higher gear than first to slowly pull away. My road is teeming with eejits giving it far too many revs and slipping all over the place.
  25. I'm just shocked that noone seems bothered by Callow Locksmiths who have imprisoned a burglar (without trial) in their window.
