  1. Good garden, OK food. Probably too few covers indoors to get it through the colder months, unlike Mr Lu's joint.
  2. Maybe they could be taken down and kept, to be displayed in the grounds of the Horniman, or on Peckham Rye, for example.
  3. It's like Google StreetView
  4. Not if it was the 12" extended remix. Classic
  5. Have a listen: http://www.thesuburbanpirate.com/dontworrydulwich.mp3 Hilarious
  6. Not sure about your point, beardy. On one hand you're having a go at the council for being money-grabbers, then you suggest phone parking, meters and residents' permits to replace free parking in and around LL. If you've ever lived in a permit zone, you'll appreciate that they're just another excuse to coin it, through the enforcement of unintentional infringements, like having one wheel over the white line or a permit placed in the wrong part of the windscreen.
  7. Got mine. Hope the delivery person wasn't infected.
  8. Give me coked-up rather than pissed-up anyday. At least they won't try to glass you.
  9. Use Peckham Morrisons garage instead. Cheaper by 5p/l. Anyway, everyone should pay before they fill up, like in the US.
  10. And saying things like 'That's enough about me, let's talk about you. What do you think of me?' etc
  11. That's an unusual way to drum up business.
  12. Paint them like this: http://www.uberreview.com/2009/05/british-artist-makes-car-disappear.htm
  13. Someone's just put a load of cardboard in mine - on recycling day too. Nice.
  14. Surely a job for Wondergirl...
  15. one came by tonight, at 10pm!
  16. Why don't they spend the money on a big street party? Hurrah!
  17. Back to the EDT then. I thought maybe the CPT might have it on.
  18. It can. I actually didn't mind the grub at El Passo.
  19. "Can't help lamenting the dodgy food" How could you tell? (I know, I know, Mexican food can be great. In Mexico, mostly)
  20. I'm with CWALD, TetraPaks are now the biggest items I put in my normal bin, which irritates me.
  21. Huguenot, your stats are from the US, so they don't really count. Nor does the 'think of the children line'. Your kids shouldn't be playing on a bus route anyway. But those 'tabletop' humps Kilmore is referring too aren't so bad on the back, it's the cushions and sleeping policemen that cause trouble: they delay ambulances, dismount cyclists and motorbikers; render cars unroadworthy and cause motorists to swerve in order to straddle the darn things.
  22. I ride a motorbike and pushbike to work; the iPod zombies are a menace. I saw a bus clip one of them the other day in Victoria who was completely oblivious to anything around him. In New York, it's such a problem, it's a fineable offence akin to jaywalking: http://www.iphonesavior.com/images/2008/01/08/ipod_road_safety.jpg And the people who enter a crossing when the green man is flashing are a pain, which means stop unless you are already on the road (although I'd say this is a design flaw; everywhere else in the world it flashes red). I'd bring in those 'countdown' crossings which count down in seconds until the light turns green. You know where you stand then.
