  1. Yes, in terms of dodged fares, the bendy bus costs TfL millions: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7291810.stm
  2. Yep, I've seen them parked on the zebra crossing zig-zags in LL, which is an endorsable police offence.
  3. They go well with mash.
  4. How about potatoes?
  5. Always appeal. There are so many loopholes for getting off, eg: the Parking Attendant (PA) has to stand on the pavement in front of the car to write the ticket; the PA has to sign and date the ticket correctly; some boroughs insist that the ticket has to be placed on the vehicle to be valid or it's considered a 'ghost ticket'. There are many more. Wort a punt, unless you're blatantly taking the piss by parking on double yellows, in a bus lane/red route or in front of a dropped kerb.
  6. More Lordship Lane station info: http://www.subbrit.org.uk/sb-sites/stations/l/lordship_lane/index.shtml
  7. No-one does more than 20 at busy times anyway - it's not possible.
  8. Those speed cameras working just fine then.
  9. I agree completely. What if he ploughed into a bus queue? Doesn't bear thinking about.
  10. I noticed it when I walked past to get the papers at 7.30am yesterday morning.

Firezza 12" pizza: ?12.95 Pizza GoGo 12" pizza: ?13.95 It's quite thrifty being pretentious.
  12. Is that the spur of pavement by the charity shop? Nearly rode into it on my motorbike this morning.
  13. Clarkes - just what I was thinking - they don't half shift through Grove Vale and LL too. God knows what the stopping distance on one of those things is.
  14. Here's the Tube map from 1949 - they were thinking of it then: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/clive.billson/tubemaps/1949.html Wouldn't it be easier to reopen the overground station in Station Road? It's only a couple of stops into Blackfriars.
  15. Gnats? http://kaihaan.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/gnat.jpg
  16. Turn down your main stopcock. That might ease the flow.
  17. It's the Camberwell New Road and Myatt's Fields.
  18. And on Christmas day, all day
  19. Location is mentioned on of this site: http://www.flyingbombsandrockets.com/V1_summary_dulwich.html
  20. It's exactly like munich
  21. They're a good idea in principle, but cause confusion because pedestrians look even less, in the false belief that they're stepping out onto some sort of alternative zebra crossing. I suppose they could encourage more eye contact between road users, which is a good thing.
  22. Looks great. Much better than that depressing old Victorian TB hospital-of-a-building.
  23. So would they tell off those contractors who sprayed 'DO NOT PARK HERE 3/8/08' in white paint all over the Landells Road so they could install speedhumps? I think not.
  24. Isn't the zig-zag offence a police rather than council parking attendant matter, because of the licence endorsements?
